    While I have used different distros in the past, I'm not completely familiar nor unfamiliar with linux as an OS. I was wondering if there are (I'm assuming this is a yes) any linux distros that offer high encryption without going as far as say something like a distro built for pentesting. I'd prefer it to be usable in a day to day regular sense. I have no aim to game on the machine but just to use it as a daily driver. My priority is local security and productivity boosting. Compatibility with regular hardware is another thing I am concerned about. I know a lot of the more mainstream distros offer pretty good if not great compatibility to hardware but it is something I worry about having to deal with in the long run. Anyone have any recommendations or concerns maybe I should be aware of?

    Awesome! What do you mean by some keyboards don't like USB C to USB C? I haven't had any issues with pre-made USB C cables.

    Looks sorta like a fire hazard. Would be cool if they were actually able to beef it up a little to make it more usable in more demanding situations/environments.

    Not sure if this is the correct category for this topic I'm looking to use a VPN. I feel like they have been pretty commonly used now. While I plan on going for a paid service soon, for now I'd like to see if there are any good free ones out there. Anyone have VPNs they'd recommend or strongly not recommend?

    Sometimes motherboards will limit the amount of wattage that can be used on components. Intel is really good at that.

    Unfortunately, I am going more for the degree of aesthetics. Do you not recommend soldering the connectors because soldering itself is more difficult?

    I'm unable to run Apex at 144fps consistently even with an i5-9600k, 8GB DDR4 at 2400MHZ and with a 1060 3GB. While the GPU you'd be choosing might help out your PC, your other hardware is likely to hold back a lot of the available performance the newer GPU's could offer.

    Have you tried booting the GPU from another PC? The GPU could be the issue regardless of how new it is. I've had to return multiple GPU's over the years because of DOA.

    Would the glue and say a heat shrink tubing work similarly or am I thinking about it the wrong way?

    I've never a made a USB-C cable before, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. There are plenty of different tips for soldering irons and diameters of solder that could make it easier given some patience.

    Looks perfect, could the quality be lesser though based on the price or is that price for the male and female connectors in that state generally the same?

    Recently I have really gotten into building custom keyboards. I have begin to think that the next step is to make my own braided cable. Anyone have brands or methods they'd recommend for buying semi bulk USB-C cable?
