Gotta be honest, I'm not sure what I'm most surprised about. The fact that I thought this might work or the fact that it actually worked exactly like I'd hoped it would.

I just wanted an easy way to transfer some photos from my old phone to my new phone. Sometimes laziness is the way forward.

i just got my battery replaced on my S7 edge, hoping to use it atleast 2 more years

Unfortunately, the power delivery chip was what is failing on my S7. I might have been able to replace it, but I ultimately didn't think it was worth the hassle.

If it had just been the battery, I would have had no issue with still using the S7. It very much usable, especially with Lineage OS 16 on it.

with screen turned off, it's impossible to differentiate b/w samsung and those who copied their style

Yeah, all those curved displays do like alike. I understand that it does allow for thinner bezels, but I'm not really a fan.

It's pretty awkward to hold and OLED displays always have a bit of color distortion when looked at from an angle.

i've never really noticed the distortion tbh, it's like when someone says you need to breathe now and blink, and suddenly you feel start to notice you're both breathing and blinking eyes

It's very much like that. On the Samsung I always noticed a kinda blue hue to the edges, while the hue is more green on the Oneplus 7.

I'm also sorry if you're now noticing it.

i don't see in mine. the screen guard over time changes to yellow in direct sunlight. so probably negates it
