  4. I have the carbon version of the corsair void, wired, and when I update the firmware, it says that I have firmware version 0.01, and when I try and force update it, it will not work, saying that this is the latest version available. I go online to get the firmware image, doesn't work. I uninstall, and install an older version of cue that worked, doesn't work, still says it is at firmware v0.01. I uninstall the driver, doesn't work, I update again, doesn't work. I don't know what is going on, no one else had this problem before, and I am just sad that my corsair void doesn't have the same quality as it did before.
  5. a gtx 1070 founders edition should be good (8gb vram), anything higher will be bottlenecked by your cpu
  6. no you didn't, aparently, they only have 4 cores max. sorry about that
  7. hp spectre has all the requirements that you have. look at those
  8. then it's a windows issue most likely, try reinstalling or reseting windows.
  9. you can go online and get a windows key for about $20. And the ryzen stock is good enough for most cases
  10. does everything turn off? fans? motherboard lights?
  11. if you have another laptop, do a hard drive swap (from current laptop to another) to see if it boots up there. You can also see if using virtualbox and a sata to usb cable (with the laptop hard drive) and booting from there if that works. Just to see if the hard drive is not the problem or the ssd
  12. going with ryzen will lower the price, with minimal effects on gaming. And you don't need to buy a separate cooler, meaning you could go with a 1tb ssd (if you find one for that cheap). Ryzen 2700x for $230 or about 181 quid.
  13. yes (no special requirements), just unscrew the m.2 drive, put the m.2 drive in, put the screw in, and you are done as it is now a drive that you can use : )
  14. Your rgb might be too powerful
  15. Hmmm, software updated? Track down those latest updates or maybe downgrade an update to see if that works
