  1. 6:20, Downgrades the PSU and repins a cable because of a sponsorship. I admire the dedication to fulfill the sponsorship, but honestly, why?

Good thing those custom cables either have propper 12v sense with ferrite beads or no 12v sense at all to avoid tripping.

I figured as much which is why i added the new key in there. I have also kinda lost the 8.1 key. it was email delivery and has since been lost to time after almost 7 years

should still be able to use it, like shown above, or if its attached to the microsoft account.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/get-started/kms-client-activation-keys
you can also seemingly use this to activate windows. A solution by Microsoft themselves.

Hello can anyone suggest what build should I go for low power/power efficient PC that runs 24/7

take a look if you can find a reasonably priced PN50 or PN51 barebone. If the goal is powerefficiency, i dont see a reason to get a dGPU. Given the PN50 and PN51 use mobile CPUs with the power behavior assosiated with them. That likely the way to go. Also the iGPU solution of the Ryzen parts in those is rather nice for an iGPU solution.

Neat relatively cheap machine that for its price class is rather high quality. The storage is lacking, but if you dont mind that, its a rather neat daily driver for most people.

there are similar deals in other countries aswell, so worth checking if its wellpriced elsewhere.

edit: some extra locations where the deal is

in general, just have a look at a price comparison website to see if its a good deal. Some places its less of a good deal than others.

nvm guys, this is my final pc build, my friends helped me out. i will get a  wifi card from amazon later

    dont waste 330 CAD on a 1050ti........

just grab what Herman Mcpootis prepared, its practically better in every aspect. Better PSU, Better CPU, much nicer motherboard and it includes wifi.

the integrated graphics will be enough untill you can grab something near MSRP, either it being Navi 24 or 128EU intel graphics. A 1050ti for 300+ is just a complete waste.

Doing my research I found that this is apparently quieter than the bequiet dark power 12 1500W, is this true?

I mean the AX1600i is kinda the only step up from the Dark Power Pro 12 in terms of powersupplies. However its likely not meaningfully more quiet, but it is a bit better powersupply. The AX1600i being essentially as good as it gets.

This superflower seems to be a legit steal imo.

With the more recent HX1000 only being 200$, that would be a much nicer deal compared to the Leadex Platinum SE.

HX being among the best units you can get in the consumer market.

Psu: asus rog strix 850w 80+ gold

id swap this out for something like a A850GF, Revolution DF 850w, or RM850x.

or depending on pricing, an HX850 might be worthwhile. The Rog strix 850w, is just a Focus rebrand, and its questionable if it has the issues with tripping on Ampere GPUs.

edit: likely worth checking out the 5800x or 10900k/10850k, the 11700k is typically not worthwhile in favor of other options.

You put CL18 memory there and you call it premium? 😄

tbh, for 64gb of memmory in 4 dimms, it kinda is at that speed...........

what you picked is litterally more than twice the cost for very very minor increases in performance.

just not a very impressive powersupply to spend 200$ on, like for 200$ its pretty underwhealming for what it is.

    https://pcpartpicker.com/product/nQJkcf/corsair-hx-platinum-1000w-80-platinum-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020139-na

especially considering one of the best powersupplies on the market is the same price.

edit: even the G6, a relatively decent powersupply is cheaper than the G5.

but if you are gonna get something nice, a Corsair HX is pretty much the way to go.

HDD's - probably sticking with WDReds Pro's - havent purchased yet, have had great results with last two file storage builds with those HDD's.

not sure how many HDDs you are looking to get, but

    https://pcpartpicker.com/product/TVJmP6/be-quiet-silent-base-802-atx-mid-tower-case-bgw39
a bequiet 802 does allow you to fit a lot of HDDs, however you need to get a few more of the bays that hold the HDDs, but the HDDs will then get airflow from the front case fans.

The motherboard doesn't support 3600MHz speed RAM but idk if in the BIOS it will let you overclock so then it can. On the microcenter (idk if u know what that is) pc builder website it says that this mobo will support up to 3000MHz but nothing about overclocking it so idk i would play it safe and try for a mobo that you know ownt bottleneck the RAM

that board can handle 3600Mbps memmory plenty fine.

She's studying web programing so she needs a new pc(She's using an old laptop right now).

would she not want a new laptop anyways at that point? (depending on what she is daily driving offcourse)

might be worth looking at if a good batterylife gaminglaptop would be a better choice if she needs a daily driver aswell as a laptop.

it depends, but a Legion 5 + smaller powerbrick may be worth a look.

if you are looking to get a GPU, check Komplett.se on Wednesday. Afaik thats when they restock, check if rx 6600 xt and rtx 3060 pricing is better at that point.

    What do you mean?

if we are gonna give suggestions it would be nice to know where you are buying. In other words what country are you buying in. Prefferably with a retailer linked. Are you buying in the US?

also the CX450M powering both of those GPUs and that CPU seems reasonable.

most better overclocking boards tend to be build on X series chipsets, as it is higher end board

Not actually the case at all for B550 and X570. If the prime target is overclocking, then you would actually go for a B550 board. The only reason to go for X570 is for the chipset connectivity.

    8 minutes ago, Dr0idGh0sT said:

    It's Z series, Not X for intel.

    Actually its both.

    8 minutes ago, Dr0idGh0sT said:

    Why get B550?

Because, for the price, ignoring chipset connectivity, its usually the better offering.

  14. 46 minutes ago, Dr0idGh0sT said:

It'll be better to go with B450 than A320...

We are talking about A520 here.

And B450 has worse chipset connectivity compared to A520....... Not that its notable, but if thats the path you are arguing i will mention it.

    47 minutes ago, Dr0idGh0sT said:

Less PCIe lanes, Less ports, etc

You only loose 4 chipsetlanes over B550. As if thats all that useful on these low end boards.....

What can you do better for this price range?

Some options with varying wattages whicv would be better, with good protevtion coverage for cheaper or the same.

Or just get somrthing way way better

    https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/B8RFf7/bitfenix-formula-gold-650w-80-gold-certified-atx-power-supply-bp-fm650ulag-7r

This being very much the obvious choice at this price point.

Also, lacking OTP  even if something did cost 10-40 extra, with this budget you should get something neater.

    Also some boards i guess:

Like there are plenty of options. And they arent hard to find.
