  1. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dj2pmr That's an example of what I would do personally!
  2. From my understanding, the 12th Gen i7 and i9 preform relatively the same if your just going to game. I'm going to assume that's the case. So I would just save $200 and get the i7. Please don't get 64gbs of ram, you wont need it. Save the money and put it towards other parts! 32gb seems to be the standard right now (For DDR5). Buy an SSD for the operating system. I have a an HDD for bulk storage, but my next build wont have one. SSDs are so cheap now, you might as well take that money you'll save on ram and buy one. That case is pushing three years old, I'd recommend something new an more affordable. That's just my preference, but it looks outdated in my opinion. If you like it, buy it. Same for the cooler, don't know much about it. I personally don't trust brands like ASUS or MSI with coolers. Also, if I recall correctly, that cooler was recalled by MSI. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/msi-recalls-mag-coreliquid-240r-360r-aio-coolers-due-to-sediment-build-up Good start, I'll put together a list!
  3. That's definitely the fan hitting something. My guess, going off the sound, is that the fan blades are hitting the heatsink underneath because it may have bent. I would inspect under the fans to see if anything is sticking up.
  4. I love that AIO! Nice build!
  5. I haven't posted here in a while but I'm in serious need of help! This morning when I went to boot my PC and log in, my screen started to flash on and off. At first I though it was a monitor issue, but I was able to open task manager over the flickering desktop. I also didn't see anything on the desktop. It's a bit of a blur, but I followed a fix from a windows help site. After the fix, I reset my PC and shit hit the fan. NOTHING is working besides the internet. Errors or things not opening: -Firewall is down (Error message) -Photos wont open (window pops up for a split second and closes) -Audio isn't working (window pops up for a split second and closes) -I cant create a backup (error message) -I cant preform a system reset (error message) -Windows Magician is suddenly not working, I now get a popup at boot. -My pin doesn't work at the lock screen -The passcode settings panel doesn't load I'm sure I have many more issues, but I'm genuinely concerned. I scanned for viruses and I got nothing. If this is a driver issue, it's massive and I have no idea where to start. Please Help! Thanks!
  6. Any recommendations for a pair of closed back pair of cans. I wont closed so I dont piss off my roommate next semester. I'm going to use them for gaming and music mainly. Something in the $100 dollar area. Something with nice bass. I'm looking at the 770 pros 80 ohms right now. Thanks!
  7. Hit me with some inspiration! Looking for a nice mini Itx case that can accommodate a hard drive. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  8. I'm back from being AWOL... Lets see whats new!

  9. Right well, that's the thing, the labeling is very misleading and they can be flipped. I think one of them is supposed to be flipped.
  10. Noob question but I need help with case connections to the Mobo. This is a build for my dad and I never remembered these connections being hard on my personal build. Case is the q300l and the mobo is the b450m Ds3h. Thanks!
  11. Hey, so I've been inactive for a while due to life. I'm heading to college in less than a year and I want to update my PC. It's going to be mini itx, right now in leading towards Ncase M1 because it can fit a hard drive for bulk storage. I'm going Intel, I was hoping 10th gen would be out by now but it's not so 9th gen it is. Ultimately I'm going to start buying in June/July so things could change and they could release 10th gen. Nvidia for the GPU. I'm looking for a good combo for price to performance. I don't need a 9900k. Maybe an I5. Any recommendations would help! Thanks!
  12. When is ryzen 2 going on sale?
  13. I'm really stuck and honestly I don't know what to do when it comes to updating my build. I'm very proud of my system (Specs in bio), but ill cut to the chase, I really want to stream, like a lot, but it's really hard to do that on a 1060 6gb and a 7700k. If i upgrade the processor Ill need a new motherboard, or I could use that money to upgrade the GPU, but I fear I would bottleneck the 7700k if I get a 2080 for example. I've pondered building an entire new system, but than I would have a second pc collecting dust. Again all I want to do is stream but I feel like I'm trapped in a corner when it comes to upgrades. I need idea please, thanks.
  14. Intel is disabling HT on 7th gen and below. Keep your computer up to date for your own safety, as far as i'm concerned it's only a precautionary measure, it will get worked out eventuality.
  15. Yeah get a hard drive, maybe 6tb actually for 3d renders.
  16. I second this, I would personally throw in a 4tb hard drive for redundancy and bulk files.
  17. I'm going to assume you want to run 1080p at high refresh rates, since this is your first PC. R5 is a very good processor, but like @fasauceome said, I would wait for the next generation. You don't need a 2060 for 1080p. A 1660 or RX 580 would do the trick for way less money. Please inform the thread on the purpose of the PC so we could better help you.
  18. Yes both parts will be cooled off the same radiator. I don't know if the case supports push pull, however I'm sure a bit of modding and a slim fan can fix that. I'll also noise isn't a huge concern, so ill probably ramp them up to max speeds. Thank you! Thanks! I didn't plan on overclocking anyway.
  19. I'm upgrading my PC to the mini itx form factor, and I want to watercool, however I can only fit a 120 rad in the case. I need to cool a delided 7700k and a 2080ti. Should I get a beefy 120 rad, what should I do? Thanks in advanced!
  20. I personally would, however if your on a budget it's not necessary since the CPU is non-overclockable. The 1060 6gb will easily hit 60 1080, it's what I use for now. However, prices on the 1070, 1070ti, 1080, and 1080ti are low due to the new generation of GPU's, unless your on a budget I would consider one of those for future proofing.
  21. That's because the case is still a work in progress and don't want to give info away because its prone to change, anyone who reviewed it is under an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) so they can't talk about details. I personally wouldn't build in an ITX enclosure as a beginner, however, if you want to challenge yourself, go for it. If you want a case like that, that's in an atx size, consider the PC-011 Dynamic. It's very good looking.
  22. The 130 Supports water cooling, the aio isn't the best but its a good budget option.
