  1. Check out the new trailer for our intense upcoming VR game!

Trapped inside a room filling with water, you will decipher secrets and tools to aid your escape. Hold your breath and dive for answers within a submarine deep below the ocean.
  2. I created a quick post apocalyptic mockup in ue4 for some practice. Also decided to finally create a portfolio to hopefully get into some freelance. Let me know what you guys think!

Cool. As long as you don't do a Fallout "People have been living here for 200 years since the bombs/(or thing) happened, and still have not 1) picket up a single chocolate wrapper 2) swept or cleaned the blood off the floor 3) taken any of the valuable objects out that fallen over case on the porch. ;)

  4. What do you guys think of the art-style for a psychological puzzle game I'm making?

it needs more details to work. if it looks like an empty house you just bought, without any furniture, you're doing it wrong. because it will look empty and lazy.

idk why but most people when they design houses in games it alwais seems uninhabited. like. give it some life, knock things down, create a mess.

Well this isn't a house. It's an empty cell lol.

  5. I agree. They are giving free DLC in the game, and I would have personally SUPPORTED a microtransaction system if it weren't forced and was mostly cosmetic. The executives behind this business model are either incredibly out of touch with the market or are blinded with greed. Or most likely a combination of both.
  6. Shitty thing is, with a proper progression system and no microtransactions, this would have been a pretty solid game. They improved on most of the issues from the previous game and I was personally looking forward to it. Now I doubt I'll ever even buy it.
  7. Check out Reaching for Petals: VR Edition! Coming to Steam October 19th.

  8. No way. Surely you unlock cards with progression as normal. I figured the crates were an extra thing? I don't support microtransactions regardless, but I highly doubt you don't unlock cards through standard progression.

    Enjoy pplz

  10. The Xbox One is fucking awful at tesslating. I want to know how Dice does such a good job at it with Battlefield and Battlefront. When I do it, its unplayable on the Xbox. Works fine on my laptop with a 960m though.

Nope. Using like 3 gb. Its definitely a drawcall issue, but I'm really shocked at how few it can handle. It's really hard to reduce it lower than I already have.

@christianled59 Why are you using DX11?

~~If Drawcalls are an issue then there's literally no way you're running DX12.~~

I am running DX12. I'm assuming its a texture issue in one of my materials. I just can't find it. Basically, if you don't combine the textures, alphas, etc in your material, it counts as a single draw call. And if you don't set the assets using them to group the texture, each asset calls yet ANOTHER draw call. Problem is, I can't find the faulty assets. There are hundreds, if not thousands of materials used in my game.

  11. I have a bad habit of buying really expensive games and never getting around to playing them. Or I stop playing after 5 minutes. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME

  12. What's crazy is like 90 percent of those are from the past 5 years though. They used to have a few hundred a year like Xbox or Playstation. Now its like 4,000 a year. Which isn't good since most of them are really bad.
  13. Successfully have Reaching for Petals running on the Xbox One! :D

  14. Just landed a job as a level designer for an MMORPG. Ye boi
