The 1000 series gpu are still holding up despite it being "old". I think i saw a bnew 1070ti(colorful) for $300, you could find a card that's not been used for mining around $250(i guess, give or take) from my experience, i use facebook market place to find items near my location

Laptop: Lenovo ideaPad 3 15ARE05 Hi there, anyone can help me with this issue? audio and mic are not working/detecting. it was working last night normally. Things i done so far: a. install drivers from lenovo web site [link] b. disable/uninstall/update(every restart) audio device in device manager c. used the 3.5mm jack to check if will detect something below are the screenshots: 1. this is the icon i am facing 2. after a right click in the audio icon 3. it seems like there are no audio/mic devices found 4. here you can see that it can't detect any audio devices, despite it being a laptop

@porina what software are we talking about here? is it samsung magician? @Skiiwee29 not sure on what should i do about this data. but i think the drive is not the problem. also will be running the disc scan later. as you said a restart is needed

i tried re-installing it(twice) and cleared everything related to the game i have restarted the pc multiple times just to be sure but noting seems to work

the upgrade is not worth it. just hold you butt, cause the 3000 series is coming out soon

The logical move here would be to wait for nvidia's 3000 series. Also ooking at the 2nd hand market for a GPU can save you some money. try looking for a 1070 or TI, the prices would be reasonable for a 2nd hand item

Hi there, Is optimizing/defragmenting your SSD a good idea or nah? I remembered linus saying defragmenting your HDD will help its performance. And you should not optimize/defragmenting your SSD (due to lowering it lifespan?) Anyway, i was trying to play Farcry 3 (again) in my PC. The only component i have change since playing it last was an HDD to SSD(samsung 860 evo), now i'm getting fragmentation all over the place and freezing. so i thought the SSD might be the root of the problem.

Hello, this is a first for me so i don't know what to do. I was just updating my nvidia driver to the latest version and in the middle of the process this happens. I thought it was just like this cause I'm updating, but it never did this before and its been like this for about 20mins now

For the mobo, you might need to update the bios to make your cpu work in a b450 chipset. As for the physical dimension. As you said you got that build from a working pc.(double check just to be sure every thing fits nicely) Over all the pc specs looks good!

Test the ram in a different system first. Updating the bios should be the last resort

Just a suggestion. Have you tried using your ram sticks on another working pc? Also, have you updated the bios on your b450 board?

Hi guys, wanted to ask on how to route the tv audio to an external speaker. My dad suggested using the old radio set below the tv set as the external speaker. The thing is, the radio input it has is a 3.5mm jack in not sure on the optical digital audio support. Is the optical digital audio the only option? Note: i don't have a sound bar or anything more modern. Below are the tv connections I'm working with. Thank you!
