My disagreement would be the 1060 and the seagate(for failure rates). Go with a newer gpu from either brand. Also invest in the RMX. P.S. I think MSI B450 boards are a bit better than these of Asrock dute to vrms but you re getting the 2600 and not the 2600x so the mobo you chose is ok.

Will the i5 6500 bottleneck the gtx 1070
Settlerteo replied to Midniteb0ne's topic in Graphics Cards
Yup i was wrong about the rtx. Due to tensor cores and fp16 yeah the rtx card would probably be better. -

Settlerteo replied to Midniteb0ne's topic in Graphics Cards
Sure cause it's a very old card right now. But a 780 ti which is almost on par in terms of general performance with a 1060 depending to the drivers also, and with that much more cuda cores than the 1060 would be a better choice for ML. -
Will the i5 6500 bottleneck the gtx 1070
Settlerteo replied to Midniteb0ne's topic in Graphics Cards
I made some changes so that debugging is easier. Do you get the FPS you want in the games you play at your desired resolution and detail level? Case When “yes” Then bottleneck is not an issue. When “no” Then bottleneck is an issue. Else ... END; UNION Can you lower detail to achieve framerates wanted and still deliver the experience you want? Case When “yes” Then no issue. Else “no” then spend money to buy better components. END; -
Will the i5 6500 bottleneck the gtx 1070
Settlerteo replied to Midniteb0ne's topic in Graphics Cards
I stated that due to cuda cores. I found this article https://gist.github.com/cavinsmith/ed92fee35d44ef91e09eaa8775e3284e although it does not include any rtx cards. Really don't know if i can post a url like that here, so if i am doing it wrong please correct me and i will edit my post. -

And in terms of Machine Learning a 780 ti/980 ti would be much better than any 1060/1070/2060 card. -

Settlerteo replied to Midniteb0ne's topic in Graphics Cards
If you have defined that you were talking about ML then i am sorry i might have missed that. That makes sense. I thought when you made the comparison you were talking about bottleneck because they definitely are different things and can't be compared. -
Which build? New or used 8700K RTX 2080
Settlerteo replied to BEASTIN's topic in New Builds and Planning
you can spend 60-100$ extra to change the blower with a nzxt g12 bracket and an AIO for the 2080 and you re good to go. -
Will the i5 6500 bottleneck the gtx 1070
Settlerteo replied to Midniteb0ne's topic in Graphics Cards
LoL what? it's the other way around in fact and in a couple of years i5 6500 will hold it's ground in comparison to anything below 1070ti which will definitely bottleneck the i5. -
If you re not going for an i7 it might be a better pair for your titan to go with a ryzen 5 2nd gen or 3rd gen which we ll probably see at the summer. Really how did you manage to find that beast for only 280$.

Vega 64, gtx 1070ti, rtx 2060 would make much more sense. -

Settlerteo replied to Noah0302's topic in New Builds and Planning
What about noise levels with all the fans? I mean i am not asking for the exact dBs but is it ok or is it too loud under pressure? I suppose you have it on your desk near your seat. -

Settlerteo replied to Noah0302's topic in New Builds and Planning
Nice, the case also came to me as well but haven't build yet in it cause waiting for the ryzen 3850 and a x570 mobo. One thing i have figured out, <except that it's amazing and the quality is incomparable with my old and much pricier at the time cm haf 932> is that you can't mount one or two 80mm fans in the back unless you mount them with double-sided tape which i will probably do. Anyway thanks for sharing, hope we helping others that way. -

Then you re out of options here. Go to a computer store and ask them to do the job. You ll pay but you ll save your card. -

Perfect. Plug in the second PCI your rx 460. Then you will be able to flash it back. -
1080 to 1070ti not that much of an upgrade but 1080ti is a huge step over 1070ti, so go for it.
-
I suggest something with what commented in my previous comment along with a 1050ti minimum.

27" 1080p 144hz with GTX1070, or 32" 1440p 144hz with RTX2080???
Settlerteo replied to Ghundhy's topic in Displays
Welcome aboard. The biggest difference you will notice would be at the 144 Hz compairing to 60 Hz. You will also see a difference jumping to 1440p and if you like to max out games as well(including AAA titles of course) then you should also upgrade your GPU as you stated. The 32" monitor is an Ultrawide? P.S. I suggest you to go to a net cafe, they will probably have displays with both resolutions and you can compare them before buying something. -
It depends on what you do. Please clarify the software you use and what you do exactly(meaning is it Android studio, unity, something else?). Then it would be easier to provide you with some options. If you re just coding for example in .NET then you will be more than good with a new 4core/4or8 thread cpu either intel or AMD. 16 gigs of ddr4 ram and a SSD. You don't even need a discrete graphics card. If on the other hand you do graphics also then you might need something entirely different.

Ryzen 5 2600 and EDC Question
Settlerteo replied to MoSLegend's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
If it's just spikes i think it's ok so don't worry about it that much.. -
I mostly see this list as a big picture of the psus. It helps you know what is good quality and what is bad quality. Aside from that i do my own research for more info on each model. P.S I think the list is really helpful though.
