  1. I think I've used those before, I'm assuming it was made by the same supplier since they look similar. I think companies buy them in bulk and put their own branding on them which is what I've used I mean they're not high quality (both in speed and the materials used to make the enclosure of the drive) but they get the job done. But if you need something for storing school projects or powerpoints they get the job done. Its lasted for several years but also not used heavily. Bulk buying in general ofc is cheaper so that might also be a factor in the cheapness.
  2. Ive done it before, it should be fine. I think you need to do something in the settings where you make it so that closing the lid doesn't put the pc in sleep
  3. JetBlue already offers free Wi-Fi and it was decent the last time I flew with them, so idk how delta is going to try and top that
  4. You'd be surprised how much effort they put into hacking things. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wired.com/2003/06/north-koreas-school-for-hackers/amp https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.aljazeera.com/amp/features/2011/6/20/north-korea-recruits-hackers-at-school they apparently have a school for it too. This group in particular might have also been behind the WannaCry attacks from a while back (though NK denies it), almost stole 1bn from Bangladesh, and lead cyber attacks on South Korean government: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lazarus_Group
  5. Alright, done. There are some surface level similarities like breeding and collecting 'creatures', and I've seen other people describe it as a Pokémon game with NFTs
  6. Which makes this all the more crazier, because in one heist they have managed to steal more than they did in one year. And yeah, it probably makes up a considerable part of their budget to say the least
  7. Summary So it turns out it was the DPRK all along. I'll link the original thread of the hack: Quotes My thoughts This 600 M will totally go towards improving lives in the regime /s. Unfortunately it seems that the one group that shouldn't have the money got it. Though not surprising, I'm sure it would have been easy pickings for a government funded group as compared to someone in a basement somewhere. t Sources https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2022/04/14/politics/fbi-north-korea-hackers-crypto/index.html
  8. Alright fair point. Yeah but then it dies. I guess I should have clarified in my original comment, "it cant get any worse and still remain relevant"
  9. I disagree. The main appeal of a platform is the userbase. People don't go to reddit, for example, because of how the site is structured or how it looks, people go on reddit because they may want to join a specific community for whatever reason. Which was my point. The place can't get any worse, otherwise it would die.
  10. Yeah I was joking, the /s indicates sarcasm By any chance were you able to save a sample of the thermal paste? I feel like it would have to be pretty abrasive to wear down the die like that.
  11. Are you trying to tell me that facebook, tumblr, digg, or myspace are anywhere near their peak right now? And I was speaking more about the userbase than the actual platform as a whole. The Twitter userbase in general is filled with some of the most garbage takes I have ever seen, with people trying to dunk on each other for attention rather than to actually make a point.
  12. Most of those just kinda died though, or are in the process of dying. At the very least, facebook and tumblr are nowhere near their peaks. Say what you will about them, generally you wont get doxxed because you disrespected some minecraft youtuber on their platforms.
  13. Sell it used /s Surprising it still works after all that. I don't think damage to the die at the top like that is that big of an issue minus thermals? Maybe it was just an issue when they were etching the logo. Correct me if I'm wrong. On another note, why is it always EVGA? They had an issue with their FTW 1080 and 1070 cards around that time too IIRC, and the somewhat recent thing that happened with their 3090s.
  14. Using propellers probably makes it a good deal safer than using jet engines or rockets though
  15. Tried to put the front panel back on without looking while the PC was on. Broke a fan blade.
  16. microsoft is pretty competent, They just have no reason to care about windows, especially windows for home users, since they don't make a lot of their moment from it
  17. That, and also the fact that I don't think gaming cards would possess any threat to them but having cards in government run datacenters that are of western origin might be one.
  18. I mainly use kaspersky free, idrc if the Russian government knows my info there's literally nothing important there. I'd actually be more worried about the US government having my info since I actually live in the US
  19. Crazy how cheap hdds have gotten, it wasn't too long ago that people were paying 40-50 bucks for a 1tb hard drive
  20. Unpopular opinion maybe, but at this point you might want to consider a console or streaming if you want to play 4K on a budget
  21. There's no info here that Ukraine/NATO knows already, probably
