It'll be fine in games that are more GPU dependant (older AAA titles) but you might start noticing stuttering in recent CPU-intensive games such as Battlefield 5, especially if you play at lower than 1440p.

On 4K most of the bottleneck wouldn't be visible.
On 1440p it would be fine, bottleneck noticable only in some games/cases but not a huge one.
On 1080p, the bottleneck would be vast in most titles. But those cards aren't even meant for 1080p.

depending on the game some games are GPU intensive, some are CPU intensive.

that's definitely true for 7600k vs 7700k .
But if you're looking at r5 vs 7700 , you can get by with a b350 board and the included wraith cooler .
