Welp, i dropped my phone and cracked my screen.

I have insurance on it, so it's getting repaired for a 30 dollar deductible.

Nice to have that on a 1000 dollar phone.

Now maybe I should get a case for it.

    My 6s Plus was $800 when I got it. I have never had insurance on any phone (and have never needed it)

    Yeah I’d say a case, one where if it isn’t touching anything, it will inflate so when it hits the ground, it won’t break

    Spoiler

    Hol up I actually like that idea

    Been there with my Iphone 6, the display was completely shattered.  Luckily there was a repair store in a shopping center next to my apartment and it only took a day.  As for a case, I'd recommend getting an otterbox or something along those lines with a glass screen protector.

    Can I just note....

    ive never broken a phone except for once when I threw it, but the battery was shot and it was water damaged so it was broken anyways.

    Also worth noting, it wasn’t my phone and I wasn’t the one who dropped it in water, my friend did and he asked me to see how far I could throw it and it shattered, the whole screen popped out and was in a million pieces (except some parts of the screen, there were some shards at the borders that stayed there)

    @Skanky Sylveon i-Blason makes EXCELLENT cases!  Otterboxes feel nicer, but i-Blason makes all military-grade cases with decent aesthetics.  Most impressively, they're at least half the price of otterboxes.  My iPhone SE has an i-Blason on it, and neither the phone nor the case have sustained damage over the course of more than 2 years.  Yes, I've dropped it a fair share of times.

    Fair warning; most cased phones are a b*tch to clean!

    Ouch, good thing you had insurance on it. Did you have a screen protector on it?

    @Java @Techstorm970 I got this.

    TPU is rubber like, and I don't think that I need to explain polycarbonate.

    It has good reviews, and the built in stand would be nice.

    @iLostMyXbox21 This isThie first time I broke a phone without throwing it.

    It cracked right at the corner where the glass bends, this is why I actually leke a bit of bezel.

    It's only at the top right corner though.

    @Cyberspirit No.

    Also, on a side note, I may loose ip67 protection once the phone is opened.

    It all depends on if the reoair person re seals the phone properly.

    I mean, if he's a certified repair technician I would imagine that it shouldn't be an issue, but...
