  1. So apparently Imgur is going to start removing(?)/banning uploads form anonymous users (also NSFW content but well, that isnt relevant for this forum after all). I remember klicking through dead forums from after the whole photobucket thing and would prefer if this didnt happen here. Is there any way that the website (forum) could deal with this? Maybe check posts for imgur links and then sort of create a cache for them? (maybe through the wayback machine?) So that if the image gets removed, the thread doesnt become useless? (I assume it would probably mostly affect help posts?) Sorry I dont really know too much about how that would work and I hope I posted it in the right place!
  2. ah yes, sry about that, I meant that mostly the higher-end GPUs tend to be used by enthusiasts who probably tend to use DP monitors? Idk, just a theory. It would actually be quite an interesting topic for a yt-video (like, is it a cost- thing, contracts or sth else?) But yeah, I know the pain of using adapters... I still have old monitors (DVI and VGA), so I have to use adapters for that... still cheaper than getting a whole new monitor setup I guess
  3. see, that's "Big GPU's" way of getting you to buy more GPU's ... one GPU per display jk! Probably because they target gamers who, until quite recently didn't really use TV's (I guess most gamers use monitors?) edit: clear up wording
  4. well... it could be, but I think then it shouldn't have worked in the first place + I know a few people who have almost the same config and they have no problems... (i7 7700k vs. my 6700k) but thanks
  5. Hi A few months ago I already made a post about this, the problem was even resolved but after about 2 weeks something other happened and now I'm back with my old problem... Old Post: The solution was: It worked! But then I wanted to make a full backup just in case... you know... the same thing happened again.... oh irony As soon as I plugged my backup-drive (WD RED 1Tb) in my Pc it froze... I tried to get it to respond, but in the end I could only kill it (4s on pwr-button). Now, the problem is, that I cannot even get the Pc/Bios/whatever to get to recognise the installation-disc/thumbdrive (thumbdrive with updated drivers of course)! well... they get recognised, but they never boot. So, how can I get my w7 to install / my machine to recognise the media and boot into it? how can I prevent that from happening again? I really hope someone can help me on this! Many Thanks Pumpkin @paddy-stone (I finally got the motivation back)
  6. @Snake_XVI I found an old copy of the Windows XP version on a backup-drive... don't know if it's of any use though. Pumpkin Movie Maker.zip
  7. Thanks alot! I could install it!! I still wonder why I could originally install w7 on my Maximus IV Hero and then the errors occured, but I am happy that it works!
  8. @paddy-stone I'll try that, but I don't really understand why... I mean, I don't use the USB 3.0 ports (during boot)... could you elaborate the reasons for that? (I'm genuinely interested) Also, do I need to put the installatipn CD on a thumb drive for this?
  9. So I tried to do this, but I can only find an option to switch AHCI to 'Intel RST Premium With Intel Optane System Acceleration' to which the manual says: 'Enables RAID for SATA controllers.. Anyways I changed it and the exact same thing happened. Oh.. and I suspect that it might have to do with the PSU (jsut bc. it's the only part, that i haven't been able to replace/test)
  10. Hello When I try to install Windows 7 respectively boot an already installed one I always get the following BsoD: This happens when I try: Installing it (there it occurs mostly at the point where it writes 'Extracting Files') booting from the SSD (where I installed Windows 7 on from my old Pc) ... here it happens right after the Windows Logo appears. I can't think of a way where it can be a faulty CD, as I was perfectly able to install it on my old Pc (an 11 year old Acer Desktop) without error. My Components are: The steps I already took are: Reassemle the whole build Swap out the RAM (Had to buy a new pair) Remove the GPU Change the SSD (with Windows 7 installed) to the HDD of my old Pc Swap out my CPU (Had to buy a new one) Oh and I don't think it is the Mainboard, because I changed that from an ASUS Maximus IV Hero (that was an RMA from yet another Maximus IV Hero...) Currently, the only thing that I didn't change is the PSU... but I cannot really afford to just buy one and hope for the best... And I cannot think of any more steps that I could take! (That's why I'm posting this after all... I need help) Also I am NOT able to provide any dump files, because... well the BsoD occurs when I try to install it. I would really appreciate any help (other than 'google it'... i searched for more than 1h so I think posting is legitimate. And yes I know that other persons too experienced those nasty 0x00000124s, but their circumstances are different.) Many thanks Pumpkin
