You need to use the video plugin from the MOTHERBOARD to get graphical display because the Intel Pentium G2030 has intergrated graphics. Next is the Asus P8H61-M LGA1155 Motherboard. I have the SAME exact one and it is great. Don't expect to get anywhere above DDR3-1066 because when I bought DDR3-1333 MHz ram. It wouldn't post when I put it at DDR3-1333 MHz when it defaulted at DDR3-1066. And Lastly. A 4GB stick of DDR3-1066 MHz. That will also improve performance by ALOT. The CPU Cooler in the list will also be a great lower of thermal throttling. This part list will be a great increase of performance. The part list goes up to $108 dollars. The R5 1600 is better in the longrun.

R3 1200 and then wait until Zen 3. They are 10nm chips that will outperform the R3 and you can get a R5 or a R7.

That will be a big speed increase for that editing

I would go on the Intel route if you don't need the multithreaded performance.

Do the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X. It has a better price per performance ratio. And it is much, much faster. I know you won't get the motherboard you wanted in the first place, But there is lots of X399 Motherboards to look at. Good luck at your next computer!

You should re-apply the thermal compound. The thermal compound can dry up over time so it is a good idea to replace once and a while.

Wait for intels 8th gen CPU's launching tommorow. It will give a great core and thread count increase in the i7 8700K.

Umm. $80 dollar 16 core 32 thread cpu. 6.5 GHz 64 core and 128 thread CPU from AMD for $599.99 CAD. 10TB U.2 SSD for the same price as a 5TB 7200RPM HDD. 1TB of DDR7 for $499.99 That's just my estimate

Definitely EVGA. They are the absolutley best when it comes to RMA. Thats why for my next PC build I am going to buy a EVGA graphics card.

You want to re-use the DDR3 I hear? Do you really want to not get new ram and just get a new motherboard?. Tell me all you want and I will try to think of what you could use.

I also did some more research. You should get 16GB of DRAM and a GTX 1050 4GB for the HP. You need to get the best stuff you can get so the laptop will last you 3-5 years before upgrade. It barely makes a difference in performance with the GTX 1050 4GB and the 1050 Ti for rendering. But if you want as much power you want, go with the 1050 Ti instead. Here is a link for it. The Laptops are both very good. I would recommend the ASUS for nice 2560x1440 video rendering and portability. But if you want 4GB of VRAM, go with the HP. DRAM is actually more powerful on editing. So I suggest the ASUS for Price Per Performance.
