Any ideas on a good price for a PC? My cousin wants to sell his since he hardly uses it. If I recall the specs correctly (I built it) it's an 8700K, ASUS Prime (one of the STRIX styled ones) Z370, 16GB 3000MHz RAM, EVGA 1080 SC, a 256 or 512GB SSD (don't remember which) and 2TB HDD, all inside an NZXT S340 Elite with Corsair fans (sadly not RGB, but really nice anyways). I was thinking he should sell it for around $2000-2500.

Yeah it is worth 2000$, the problem is that someone who would want those components would usually want to build the pc themselves, so finding a buyer for it could be hard.
-
Might need to part it out.
-
@Origami Cactus tru, but considering the walmart near me now sells gaming PCs (full desktops with i7 8700s and 1070s), there must be a market for them.
And @Br3tt96 I hope not, if he does though I'll try and scramble some money together and buy the GPU off of him.

$2k seems high actually. Unless you're including peripherals?
-
@TVwazhere Well it's already built so I'd call that fair, and IDK if he's including his G502, Corsair Keyboard (IIRC), or 144Hz G-Sync monitor. He has a mic and really nice open back headphones too, but I doubt he'll include those. Imma ask him for more details and such.
-
The 144hz Gsync monitor would definitely make it worth $2k
The "built" argument is 50/50 to me, I would suggest it needs to be fairly priced in between a parted out build and what someone could buy from a pre built company, and some of them are pretty competitive (NZXT for example). Also make sure the cable management is on point
-
@TVwazhere fo sho, I'd make sure it was all fancy before putting it up for sale. And most other prebuilt company's can't really compete, they usually use way crappier mobos, RAM, and power supplies to cut costs, yet retail them for a similar price.
-
@Zando Bob Cyberpower and iBuyPower for sure, but NZXT actually uses good shit

The build you've put together is still a better value (since i assumed an AIO and used an older 240mm and left out windows) Your market is going to be people that dont want to bother building and would rather have someone build it for them (which sadly I know too many of those)
-
@TVwazhere Yep. But it doesn't have an AIO, it's a Cryorig H7 IIRC... perfectly matches the build (forgot to mention that the build is basically perfectly matched color wise) and just barely fits in the S340. Pretty quiet too, I never noticed it for the few hours I played on it, and he has it sitting on the desk while he uses open-back headphones, so I assume he'd notice if it was loud at all.
