  1. I agree your CPU is likely where the bottleneck is.
  2. A six 6 core 12 thread system if you can Overclock it will likely still work for another couple years without difficulty I believe.
  3. If your doing ryzen trying to get even faster is not a bad idea if you can get to to clock stable at those speeds. But yeah AMD's current chips rely on memory in a way Intels do not.
  4. @KrazyforOnce There are systems with many more cores running than those. Especially once your running multiple sockets of CPUs.
  5. This is likely the case, that and if a device suddenly leaves the country it was in and isint a mobile device it'll throw up red flags. But more likely the payment model is the way and likely is how they region lock you.
  6. My experience was from my internship with the network coordinator in college. We moved off tapes but yeah mostly cause we tried everything we could to speed it up but it was gonna always hit the same max. Also the way that organization ran it's WAN was more like a stupidly large LAN which created nightmares for data transfer. Anyways I'd think really you may need to eventually look at an overhaul of your backup and disaster recovery system if your having issues. I don't see much faster your gonna go than you are using this system and the problem isint gonna be solved as i see it by what amounts to throwing bandwidth at the problem.
  7. Anybody with info on the Tuf Mark 1 from Asus motherboard I was looking at? I figured it might do well for these duel tower coolers.
  8. @sazrocks any streaming is nothing super serious just historically I:ve had lag of like 10 or so seconds on it via xsplit and for faster games choppier performance. Figure some of it is my net [due to location I am typically averaging 10 to 12mbps cause not directly next to the router my roommates are. They get 150 to 200] So I defiantly will be looking at options to ensure I can stream while playing.
  9. Well more it sounds like I was right to await coffee lake. it'll be the latest and likely give me the best performance.
  10. @RevoltTrain But Confirmed to come out later this year when my plans for new PC come up. Why woudl I still go kaby lake. Also rumor is it'll have a 6 Core CPU.
  11. @sicily428 Thats to best of my knowledge so unless it changes for some reason.
  12. Mostforms of VMware need media i don't have to run.
  13. I remember playing it on an old Mac one of the all in one colored CRT types. And think I found it but wondering if theres any way to get it to work on windows since well I do not own a Mac. http://macgui.com/downloads/?file_id=14559
  14. Since others got great help here, I was trying to locate an old game I once played long ago went by Galactic Empire. But I can never find it now was a neat little strategy game taking over planets. Anybody got an idea?
  15. @FAQBytes ok I was looking at this thorugh Intel Extreme tuning utility. Why I asked and since it seemed to show this ability thats why it caught me off guard.I know the multipliers locked it's not a K chip so I know that much.
  16. I know the program itself has a stress test built in you can run. Given it's by Intel I trust it should be good.
  17. So I was checking out the software and it seemed to indicate it could overclock my CPu up to like 3.5ghz woudl this be worth it or possible or even safe with my Hyper 212 evo and HAF 922 case for cooling?

If your not using 4k or encountering issues with service upgrading is kinda a waste of your moeny. I'd say see what deals you might get.
  19. Not on the Asus or that SPECIFIC AOC monitor. But I did recently buy a second monitor in this case an AOC 22inch so my experience is you may have to do a little tweaking on color and tint and brightness etc. But if it's anything like mien once you got it where you liek the AOC should be great.
  20. What is the rate of your monitor?
  21. AMD/ATI [not sure was like an old AGP card from back in the day] Nvidia 6400GT Nvidia 9800 GTX Nvidia GTX 760 Twin Forza OC gaming edition by MSI
  22. @leadeater I stand corrected then. I was under the impression those server editions were not common now due to multi cores proliferation. Either way I stand by my stance your orgianol statement was correct so no harm.
  23. @leadeater Only know of a brief period where multi socketed CPUs boards were made best I understand multi cores ended that. The OS's required were not consumer available and required I believe specialized timing systems to ensure the CPUs worked right. It became redundant and now I doubt any OS even knows how to work with those types of systems as multi core CPUs are the norm. So I believe you are correct in that there is no way windows 7 8 8.1 or 10 are treating anything as a multi socketed CPU pair.
  24. Did people just put maybe too much hype into those AMD benchmarks? Do people forget they do everything possible to advantage their own products? I think this may be part of the anger. I think they may have even been picky with windows versions they used.
