  1. Yeah I just went through the steps again, sorry it took me a while, I needed a break from trying to figure this out. Results: Nothing changed. The powershell did uninstall HIDGuardian, but it didn't fix the issue
  2. I've looked through it and uninstalled it using that guide, but the issue is windows cant identify it at all and almost blocks the connection. Im gonna go through the guide to double check, but im pretty sure somethings bugged out with windows.
  3. Kailh Blues aren't the greatest switches, but I noticed you also like clicky switches. I would recommend the Kailh Box series, they have a click bar, which leads to a very satisfying click sound. I haven't tried any switches other than Cherry Reds tho, so take it with a grain of salt.
  4. I am gettin into the keyboard enthusiast space, and their options don't really appeal to me, but yeah they make fairly decent cheap office peripherals and some gaming keyboards. I would recommend other options for pre-built keyboards in that price range tho.
  5. Hello fellow... "LTTers"? I wanted to use my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller on my Desktop PC, but the issue is that Nintendo Switch Controllers are dInput, instead of xInput. Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers on Windows should still connect automatically, but the issue is that the controller inputs themselves won't work properly other programs most of the time. You need 3rd party programs, such as BetterJoyforCemu, DS4Windows, or ProconXInput, which use ViGEM (or ScpVBus in ProConXInput's case) and HIDGuardian. Alternatively Steam has its own controller drivers, which I tried as well. So with that context, here's the full order of events: 1) I plugged in my Pro Controller through USB, and Windows detected it, and set it up as a game controller 2) I installed BetterJoyForCemu, and its Drivers [ViGEM & HIDGuardian] 3) Success! It worked! 4) Computer kept Blue Screening in a constant loop for unrelated reasons, and I eventually had to reinstall Windows. 5) Windows would not detect when I plugged in my Pro Controller anymore, no notification, no sound, nothing. 6) Nothing showed up in Device Manager either. 7) I spend over a week trying all the 3rd party solutions listed above. 8) I realize that none of this would work for the issue I'm having, since windows needs to detect the device, as a game controller, before any of these 3rd party solutions could do anything. 9) I make sure all of the windows power settings, such as power saving mode is not messing with the USB ports, (In power mode and in device manager) 10) Still nothing, I completely uninstall all of the 3rd party drivers, using this tutorial: https://vigem.org/projects/ViGEm/How-to-Install/ 11) I try to reinstall each solution individually, to try and see if any of them will work in desperation. 11) I download USBTreeViewer and try to figure out wtf was going on. 12) I am now asking for help, as I realize I am in way over my head, but I feel I am getting closer. p.s. both screenshots were taken 2-3 minutes apart, and the controller was plugged in for both. Reposted because wrong thread I think? It died with no replies for a week under peripherals.
  6. IMO, Logitech is only good for gaming mice in terms of peripherals. Idk about their audio tho.
  7. In that case, maybe getting black and white sets of the pudding keycaps, to swap out for the modifiers, and then modifying the RGB around WASD would be the best bet, if dropping that extra 40 dollars was valuable enough. But that makes sense, Thanks IPD!
  8. What are you looking for specifically? We need to know what you want so we can help you out.
  9. Going off of what LloydLynx said, if you want to maintain your aim, and maintain the same feel, you will want to check the change in physical screen size as well as the resolution. For example, if I wanted to maintain the same distance moved on screen from [400 DPI on my 23 inch 1080p] to a [27 inch 1440p], assuming the screen ratio is the same: 1) We want to get the ratio, so we divide both pixel resolutions by the screen size 1080 pixels per 23 inches -> 1440 pixels per 27 inches 2) We then get the ratio of the old monitor to the new monitor 46.9565217391:53.3333333333 Divide New Ratio by old Ratio 1:1.13580246914 The 1.13580246914 is the multiplier for your DPI 3) Get your new DPI! 400 DPI => 454.320987656 DPI
  10. Ah yeah, Steam Controllers were a mixed bag on release, some people loved them, and others hated them. From what I remember there were a fair bit of confusion on release about it being exclusive to the steam console
  11. I just use the installation media tool from Microsoft, but i've heard good things of Rufus.
  12. If you want a budget mouse that still performs, I cannot recommend the Viper Mini enough, it is absolutely amazing for $30, and the only real downside is that you might have to deal with razer software.
  13. Is there a way to make normal keycaps into pudding keycaps, or create the pudding effect from transluscent keycaps?
  14. Yeah, I had a switch pro controller that I used for a while, but then I got some weird USB issues with Windows. Loved it while it worked tho, and I still use it on the switch. I've heard great things about the Xbox Controllers tho, and from what little experience I have with them, they are incredible!
