  1. Without actually witnessing the issue while it is happening. The only other recommendation that I might have is driver/windows updates. Check your resource monitor when you are having the issues with framerate and see if any resource is getting pegged and therefore resulting in lower framerate.
  2. Are you using an SSD? I just remembered I had a buddy that had an issue with certain games that would not run at 144hz due to HDD bottlenecks. Not every game would be affected depending on how they are coded.
  3. But since it is an ISP provided router your options may be limited there without engaging tech support.
  4. Assuming you have already power cycled your router as a preliminary step, my next recommendation would be to log into the web UI of the router and see if there are any updates available for it. If not you can try to do a factory reset on the router that could help as well.
  5. Most of the time higher end monitors at higher resolutions and refresh rates require multiple inputs from your GPU in order to stably perform at spec.
  6. Only two cable formats support 144hz: Dual-link DVI and DisplayPort. HDMI 1.4 cannot run 1080p 144hz. Additionally to run 144hz plus on 1440p you may need more than one Display port connection from the GPU to the monitor to get consistent performance in demanding titles.
  7. Plus there is no tuner, which means it can't be called a TV. (at least in the US.)
  8. if it sounds too good to be true.....
  9. It was only a matter of time. IPv6 has been around long enough to prepare for running out of v4 addresses interesting that they waited this long to cut over. Other ISP's cut public IP's over years ago.
  10. Dust will get in easier and you will need to clean it more regularly. Other than that shouldn't be a problem. I had a buddy that used to take his side panel off to improve airflow when he played CPU intensive games before he updated his cooler.
  11. In my experience could be a couple of things, either there is a lot of dust in the CPU cooler fan or any fan for that matter causing it to be off balance, or the fan controller is throttling a fan irregularly. But if you can't open the case to troubleshoot, you'll just have to contact whoever your warranty is with and deal with it that way.
  12. We live in a world where security often comes as a second thought to convenience. That being said Google is very secure and whatever leeriness that I have towards everything being in the cloud, is strongly outweighed by the convenience of not having to manage an exchange server for over 1,400 employees and over 5,000 students.
  13. I don't know how many times a user has called me freaking out that their programs are gone when they accidentally put their desktop shortcuts in the recycle bin.
