Hmm, next Intel Iris trades blows with Vega 11?

Look out AMD. Intel's gonna give it to ya.

Meanwhile next APUs are most likely still Vega... Bad news if they cant get more out of that.

it's crazy to think that intel can be competitive in the gpu market. but it just might happen.

and if they do, i'll be happy. Intel stuff generally works well on Linux. both nvidia's and amd's linux drivers are kind of a mess sometimes. i've never had an issue with an intel gpu on linux so...

@Jurrunio Aye, but Intel's come leaps and bounds in a single generation of their integrated graphics. Shows something's working behind the curtain.

@firelighter487 Not too surprising, they're a massive company. It only makes sense to expand into the GPU space, especially with AI and deep learning becoming more and more of a thing. If they stick to traditional CPUs they'll fall into obsolescence.

I'm interested in memory used for the testing though, as faster iGPUs always do significantly better with faster memory. I mean, I'm not surprised if data from leaks are using Hwbot worthy memory setting after that chiller event

I don't have any guesses as to how good their stuff will be, I'm going in with no expectations. But I'm excited!
