GrowlinVapor reacted to Energycore in Two Different Ram speeds one PC!
The motherboard can only choose one voltage to feed all RAM. So if you have different speed DIMMs you should manually set it to the highest of the two on the different RAM spec sheet.

Kinda interested, what happens if ram was ran at different voltages? Would the mb just limit the voltage to the lowest volt of the two or just not work at all?

You can run both in the PC it'll just run the 1866mhz RAM at 1333mhz. It's prefered you don't do that simply because you're going to lose that speed. Also the RAM could run at different voltages so you might want to look into that as well.

yes. the motherboard will run both ram at the slower speed.(1333)
