It's not that bad, first of all just don't mount the new fans in any way that they're supposed to be mounted. Next remove all or as many of the plastic, remove the shroud, just leave the bare heatsinks. And finally get 2 Inwin Mercury 120S fans and zip-tie them to the heatsink (with thin, long zipties).

The "Memory" tab shows your RAMs current speed and timings. It is running in dual channel and 1200 MHz (=2400 MT/s), so the RAM is running at the expected speed (in marketing terms 2400 MT/s = 2400 MHz "effective" clock speed, due to DDR = double data rate)

The SPD tab shows you possible speeds the RAM sticks support (e.g. which JEDEC and XMP profiles they have), not what is currently going on. And as @Levent said, dual rank is not the same as dual channel. Dual rank means there's there's two ranks on a single stick (which can improve its latency), while dual channel means two channels can be accessed at the same time, which improves bandwidth.

No it doesnt. It says Single RANK. It is a completely different thing. Your ram is running at dual channel mode with 2 dual rank dimms and 2 single rank dimms.

No point in doing any recommendations now, in that case. Honest advice? Wait and ask again closer to the date you have in mind. Too much can change in that period of time for a good recommendation.

well, the new msi line of laptops looks nicer that before, they just have the logo in red but you can find them in black, they dont have the "gamer look", i bought a GF63 THIN for light gaming and graphic desing on the go, after you adjust the fan curve i felt a pretty solid machine, the downside is the cooling, with only one fan, i think the GF65 has two fans, the keyboard is decent, not fan of the font they choose, but you can sell it pretty easy after you´re done with the computer when you return to your desktop

Get the g4560 with the RX470. Maximum performance possible.

RivaTuner Statistics, the program MSI Afterburner uses for the OSD, is available as a standalone program. I used it like that without a problem. Can't remember where I downloaded it though. I have it on my PC and if you can find it, I can upload it. That is if you want to use firestorm for OC. Can't say if MSI afterburner and firestorm would conlict.

    It's a 970 why wouldn't it be?

Idk about 10 series Nvidia cards but so far as I know AB works for 9 series cards like the 970 regardless of brand.

Someone else would know better but I would assume yes that it would be safe.  As long as you don't change any settings in afterburner for OCing then it shouldn't do anything.

But I'd suggest noting your settings from firestorm and just try using afterburner only without running firestorm.  If you just used afterburner with the Rivatuner add-on it would prevent even the chance of a conflict.

i use Panasonic eneloops with my xbox one controllers.  way cheaper to replace too. 4 pro 2550 mAH eneloops are 15 bucks. 2 to keep charged and 2 to play with. if you need a charger just buy this thing, it comes with 1900 mAH eneloops and is fucking amazing. the circuitry for the charger is really REALLY good. everybody i know that uses them and had a charge and play kit says these things last way longer on one charge and you can use them on every battery powered device you have.

    edit:
i bought the controller dongle and it works wonders for me, its expensive though but you need it for audio pass-trough etc. and i though tyou also need it for multicontroller setup which is what i use it for.

Get yourself an Asus one. They are a bit smaller then MSI pascal cards. The MSI are a bit higher in size which will require a special SLI bridge in case you go SLI one day. Asus is also better for mATX cases like in my case. I own an Asus GTX 1080 OC and it is a very good GPU i can only recommend it. I think GTX 1070 from Asus has the same shape as my gtx 1080. Here is also one video from gaming nexus, he explains very well what i have written above.

Your CPU will bottleneck the card quite heavily, I'd advise you to either upgrade the CPU along with the GPU or to get a MSI GTX 1060 6GB (It might bottleneck even the 1060 a bit in some games). MSI has better customer support than ASUS.
