  1. Really just doing it for the short term till i get more core/thread cpu. I want to declutter my desk with external drives and offload some of the USB ports onto another computer (my laptop)
  2. I have a 4 drive external dock with 4 4TB drives im recording gamplay to. i want to stream and record to my laptop while playing on my primary system. Ryzen 5 5600X @ 4.8GHZ 4X8GB DDR4 and RTX Auros Master V2 3080 @2160MHZ Actually looking to move to 5900X after AM5 Drops as will prices on used cpus..
  3. Had such bad experience with newegg even though the new jersey warehouse delivers next day with ground shipping i had used for 15 years that i stopped giving them my business
  4. Long After i posted this i figured out how to make the LCD work. had to uninstall the corsair ICUE software, the Asus armoury crate DDU the gpu. then restart the computer. THEN install the Auros engine software and was ablem to change the RGB lights and lcd on the screed THEN reinstall everything i uninstalled. if you ever want to change the gpu RGB again you gotta do the whole process over.
  5. Hey All im trying to use my 6th gen intel i7 Asus Rog Laptop as a capture/streaming computer to connect my gaming rig to. Im looking for an affordable USB type C or USB 3 external HDMI capture device thats able to do 1080p 60. 30 if needed. Any recommendations from personal use that are on amazon? ive seen a few but was wondering if anyone had one they had used they could recommend.
  6. Sorry for the late response, im vaccinated but just got Covid so i basically have a mild case of the flu and have been sleeping alot. Yes i ment that the pebble speakers with the USB powered sub have wires that are a fixed length. i want something i can use whatever length cables i want rather then being stuck with speakers permenently connected by 5 foot wires that cant be cable managed. @jaslionif you could send me a link to the speakers you were talking about id love it. thanks for both of your input. time to get back in bed lol. have a good week!
  7. Hey all, I've been stuck with plastic speakers with permanently attached cables and tiny subwoofers for far too long. I've seen in various videos of people using what look like bookshelf speakers around 8-12inches tall and around 5-8inches wide that I'm interested in looking for. however whenever I've searched on amazon i usually wind up seeing those types of speakers for anywhere from 500$ all the way up past the 1k$ range. is there anything worth using of that style with good sound that are a bit more reasonable. i want something for media and leisure gaming not something so powerful my paintings will fall of the wall. if I'm actually gaming with friends i use good headphones with a good mic, but when playing solo games or consuming media just a good sounding, reasonably priced set of speakers would work. the price point is in the 250-325$ (US) range not including the price of an amp. any links would be appreciated. thanks!
  8. Nope tried multiple rgb softwares and all are no goes. aprently reddit is full of people that cant get their aorus lcd's to work for love or money. gigabyte needs to work on their software. they cant expect people to only have gigabyte parts in their builds and its a known issue that their RGB software doesnt play well with others when just about all others do.
  9. Im using a Corsair 5000D Airflow case with a Corsair icue 150i capellix 360 aio. my 5600X is bios overclocked to 4.775mhz all cores idle temp 36c gaming load cyberpunk 1440p high setttings 89% utilization 67c
  10. Hey all, I'm currently using a Asus B550 gaming Pro motherboard, 1000watt PSU with a Ryzen 5600X and RTX 3080 Aorus master (with Xtreme PCB and 3 pin power refresh video card) and 4x8GB of Corsair DDR4 cas 16 3200mhz memory. firstly would i see a gaming improvement at 1440p moving to a Ryzen 5900X over my 5600X? secondly will my motherboard support a 5900X when it comes to power? it has a single 8pin CPU power not a double 8pin CPU power plug. my PSU does have 2 8 pin CPU power cables. Ive seen videos of people saying my motherboard is fine with a 5900X but was still unsure about weather it really needs an extra 8pin CPU power. all of this is pointless however if i wont see a noticeable FPS gain in gaming. thanks for any and all input.
  11. Unfortunately the current version of openRGB doesn't support gigabyte RGB devices, in ran the program and it detected everything accept the graphics card.
  12. your right, I failed to clarify that i meant 4 sticks in duel channel rather than 2 sticks in duel channel. in the past i always ran with two sticks in duel channel on intel and for the first time have all 4 dims full. you are correct, i failed to convey what i meant.
  13. This post is primarily for help with the RGB problem im having but that video you posted is outdated and dosnt apply to 3rd gen ryzen 5 5600X BUT...if you want to see what im talking about from an updated video please watch below.
