Meh it's not great to be honest, sure it's an upgrade to what you had previously but it's nothing amazing.

@LinusTechTipsFanFromDarlo a bundle like that usually goes for around €200. it's an amazing deal.

It's not that great of a deal.

@LinusTechTipsFanFromDarlo yes it is. here people usually ask €100 for a nice Phenom X6. this is much faster and it has good ram with it.

It's a dead platform though. With Ryzen there's absolutely no reason to be still using an AMD FX CPU anymore.

@LinusTechTipsFanFromDarlo It's a brilliant deal. An FX 9590 alone costs £110 (which is £3 less than what @Twilight bought the whole thing for) (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AMD-Eight-Core-FX-9590-Eight-Core-FX-9590-4-7GHz-Eight-Core-FD9590FHHKWOF/264371618882).

If you were to buy the parts seperately, it'd cost around £200.

€125 is an absolute steal, especially when you consider the fact that you're getting a good motherboard and 16GB RAM with it.

But why would you waste £110 on a CPU that's outdated and that didn't particularly perform well against the competition when it was new?

Honestly it comes down to if they think it's a great deal. I still have an 8350 and it works great.. no complaints here. On top of that I have friends that use 9590's in their rigs and love them, with have no plans to upgrade.
