  1. Bottom line is if you arrive at school late and get punished for it, don't complain. Even if other students are arriving late that does not change the fact that have broken the rules and can be punished for it, unless you had a legitimate excuse.
  2. Necessary, no. Worth it? Yes, it's a quality of life improvement. If you do get one you should be able to get to the login screen in about 20ish seconds.
  3. Cats: Oh are you using this, well it's mine now.
  4. So I get why you are mad at Valve, but why would you punish the people who enjoyed your mods by removing them from the internet? What about people who may want to use those mods in the future?
  5. And the anti-freeze used has corrosion inhibitors in it, so that should prevent corrosion.
  6. Well my first build went well. I was scared shitless that I was going to break anything and everything. Hell I remember freaking out about how much resistance there was for placing a CPU in an 1150 socket. I was sure I was breaking something, but the triangles were aligned. Posted the first time without a problem and it was a lot of fun, until my power supply decided it would be a great idea to short out and take out my motherboard, CPU, and I think my ram as well. Although confession time, its my fault. My computer gave me a warning message "unstable power supply etc" and in a panicked state, I had just built the thing a month ago, I ignored the message and the next time I went to boot up my pc, it would just enter this never ending rev up and shut off state. Oh and my motherboard had no lights working at all, not even the Q code. So yes you can say it, I was an idiot. But that was my first PC build experience, and I'm glad to have fixed everything. And it only took me a year to do it.

    TV panel questions

Well it depends on the series. For lg their lb6300 series uses only IPS panels. However their lb5600, 5800, and 5900 are not IPS, according to the chart Amazon. The handy dandy chart does not say what panel type it is, just that it is not IPS. However I have been looking around and have found some websites claiming that the lg 47lb5900 does in fact have an IPS panel, but these are random websites that I have never heard of so who knows. LG's own website for the 5900 series has no mention of a panel type. Point being don't assume that just because it's a "good brand" of tv that It uses an IPS panel. Do some research and confirm one way or the other. Also not trying to attack eshbop or anything, just wanted to spread this bit of information.
  8. I would use the dust filter. I also don't understand why anyone would use this case without the top dust filter? I can see if you wanted an external radiator but, as Linus pointed out in the video, the rear grommets have been sealed up making an external radiator impossible without the user modding the case. If you are willing and able to go through all that just for an external radiator why not buy another case that allows you to do so? Other than that I guess you would mount external fans for push pull? I'm new to pc building so maybe its my inexperience and ignorance that prevents me from understanding why someone would opt to not use the top dust filter.
  9. No i just removed the battery. Also for the gigabyte mobo, i did have the sticks in the wrong dimms. Just tried it with both sticks in the correct dimms it did not start but the fans and led lights stayed on for about 3-4 seconds. I also tried putting only one stick in at a time but the system still did not boot and the fans and led lights only powered on for about a second.
  10. And i did not reset the cmos on my asus motherboard i removed the battery and waited for about 15 seconds and then put it back in. But nothing changed.
  11. Just tried to start up my system with the gigabyte mobo without any sticks and the same thing happened as before. All of my fans and led lighting turned on for about a second and turned off.
  12. With the asus mobo i tried with both dimms populated and no sticks installed. However i did not try to power up my gigabyte mobo with no sticks installed. I will try that and let you know.
  13. FTW_Perverse the Mobo is new however the CPU is the same. I did update the bios on my asus motherboard and cleared the cmos. And by clearing the cmos you mean removing the circular battery on the mobo for about 15 seconds and putting it back in, correct? The ram was installed in the correct dims, the mobo manual stated it should be the first and third dimm,
  14. Thanks for the reply, My Asus motherboard does support bios flash back and I did try that. The bios was updated, as indicated by flashing green lights stated by the motherboard manual, but still no change. I never though to check the h100i for leakage. However i just did and i did not notice anything out of the ordinary. I have already tried the each individual stick, out of two, and tried them in different slots, but still nothing. I am thinking about buying new ram though. Have you ever encountered anything where fans lights and all power up for about a second and then turn off, any ideas? I have tried the paper clip test and the fan on my PSU spun up, so I don't think that is the problem.
  15. I built a new pc containing: CPU: I5 4670k (not overclocked). CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i Motherboard: Asus z87 Pro Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8g 1600mhz Graphics Card: Asus GTX 760 PSU Corsair ATX 860 SSD: 160G Samsung 840 HHD: 1 TB Seagate Barracuda HHD: Some old 500g hard rive from my old dell laptop Drive: Blue Ray from Asus I built this in late August and it worked for a few weeks and then random power failures. I assumed it was the power supply because the software that came with my Asus motherboard stated it had shut down the computer due to an unstable power supply. So I RMA'd the PSU, got a new one, rebuilt my pc, hit the power button and nothing. No fan spinning, no beep from the motherboard, no post, nothing. Just a green light on my graphics card, stating it was receiving power, and the on board power button was lit. I then proceeded to bench test my system. I tested it with just the CPU, CPU Cooler, tried using one dim, tried with no HHD or SSD, tried with just a BR drive and no HHD or SSD connected, tried the paper clip test to insure the PSU was not the problem and the fan spun, still nothing. So I figured my old Corsair PSU killed my mobo and bought a Gigabyte Ga Z87 HD3. Installed that into my system and when I tried to turn on my system my fans spun up for about a second or two and then turned off. I pulled everything out again and benched my system and the exact same thing happened, fans spun up for about a second and then died. So my question is what should I do next. Could it be a ram problem, a CPU problem, or something else entirely.
