  1. but does the behringer have the routing options? if it does - then try it. on a side note: behringer is a pretty shitty company when it comes to avoiding waste. my job is to repair that kind of audio equippment and those yamahas CAN be repaired unlike some 100 dollar mixers where you can't even get any replacement parts from the manufacturer because the manufacturer themself does not repair because their RMA policy is to simply send the customer a new unit and throw the defective unit in the e-waste container.
  2. you feel like you lost detail because ... well ... you did ... i'll take IPS over TN any day of the week no matter what. and the drop in resolution is not worth the increase in framerate either - in my opinion. exactly that - i can't agree more. it's the same with all the pseudo-pg-kiddos telling you that you NEED to tweak resolution this and detail settings that to be better at a game if you have real skill you can game on yo mamas 1080p60 monitor and still own the game.
  3. you mean the sound coming from your pc soundcard recorded twice (with some delay eventually) ? you can avoid this by disabling "desktop audio" in obs leaving the mixer as the only input. some more advanced mixing boards have a variety of routing options that allow you to pass some channels thru to your headphone but not to the main mix. a popular mixer among streamers seem to be the yamaha MG10XU and MG12XU - with the XU standing for fX and Usb
  4. i think you can still use other DNS if you set it on each device individually. i never used an iphone or mac so i can't tell you how to do it but the guide on this website may help: http://www.idownloadblog.com/2016/03/05/how-to-use-custom-dns-settings/ for windows you can follow this guide: https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-change-dns-servers-in-windows-2626242
  5. when it is in true hibernated state it is technically turned off AFAIK. all the contents of the RAM are saved to disk and the PC is power cycled. it's 'sleep mode' you should be afraid of - pc is in a weird state - half asleep and half awake, file systems still mounted, ram and mainboard still powered.
  6. from how i understood the OP the question was rather: "can we stick the GT 240m in there to see IF this laptop is still alive at all"
  7. no such thing as a "gaming" HDD - there is fast HDDs (7200) and slow HDDs (5400rpm) anything else is not really interesting except for special use cases (like 24/7 certified server and NAS drives and stuff) a WD black is among the fast ones. a LARGE HDD because games are getting so large nowadays it is straight up ridiculous. a HDD does only have an effect on load times - it does not improve FPS or other performance aspects of the game itself there should be benchmarks of the major brands and models out there - pick your price range and start comparing.
  8. that is a solid combo - i had the i5 4590 but found a used i7 4790 (non K) for just under 200 euros if an upgrade is cheaper than a new system - i'd say: upgrade - and it will most likely be cheaper given that you need a new mainboard and DDR4 RAM games run better with the i7 in general - max fps have not improved much because i only have a 1050 ti in my system but framedrops have been reduced noticeably. streaming while gaming does not impact game performance nearly as much as it used to and videos render a lot faster - but that was to be expected i think. the whole system feels snappier overall this upgrade was totally worth it IMO and i don't feel like i need a faster CPU any time soon. you can't use the overclocking feature of a K CPU on your B85 mainboard anyways so a slightly higher standard clock is the only reason to buy a K CPU instead of a (possibly much cheaper) non K CPU
  9. have not played this game - just try it for yourself and see wich setting brings the most performance.
  10. it is still regular DDR 4 RAM so it is not nearly as fast as having real GDDR vram. in my own tests with a ryzen 2400G on 8gb dual channel 2666 RAM - it either made not much difference or even hurt performance. i ran tests with the setting on "auto" and with 2gb reserved rise of the tomb raider didn't see much change metro last light actually was worse in the .1% department and doom went straight to single digit framerates for whatever reason (5-7 fps in menu and even worse in game)
  11. there is a setting in bios where you can select how much system memory to reserve for the integrated GPU. if you don't have more than 8 gb ram installed in your system i recommend to use this setting carefully. if you assign 2gb out of those 8gb to graphics then the rest of your operating system and games only have 6gb to work with - in some games this can hurt performance a lot more than reserving less memory for the gpu
  12. i noticed this as well - no clue what exactly causes it - but it's one reason why storing the steam library on the NAS to access it from multiple computers is a dumb idea.
  13. jup ... that's how it should be - it's a RETURN channel ... so it comes back FROM the TV. too bad the return channel carries only audio - good old scart used to offer audio AND video in both directions ... only one cable between TV and VCR to record a TV program or watch VHS movies
  14. composite is about the worst video signal you can get out of a gamecube but you probably know that already the gamecubes audio output is line level, that is very likely not enough to drive headphones at decent volume and you probably need more than a simple adapter - look for a cheap headphone amp if you wanna try it anyways: chinch to 3.5mm headphone jack adapters DO exist
  15. better look for TFX or smaller - also, you'd have to do some serious modding. the ryzen stock cooler would probably be too tall as well. but it makes for an interesting project. pictures please.
  16. that is not too old - i still wonder - all the 1155 boards i owned came with usb 3.0 even though they were cheap budget boards
  17. i wonder how old that computer is if it does not even have usb 3.0. anything after sandy bridge had usb 3.0 integrated into the chipset AFAIK and i wonder if a computer that old can handle VR at all.
  18. this. and it's not just about saving bandwidth on their end. if they would send video in better quality (or unaltered source quality) a lot more people would start complaining that they can't watch anything above 720p because their internet is too slow. i wanted to have TV static on my twitch stream when i am AFK - it didn't take too long for me to figure out that this was a terrible idea.
  19. if i had 1500 bucks to blow, i'd build a NAS with 4 harddrives AND a 1080p gaming system.
  20. in theroy, yes. most games may not benefit from more than 4 cores on their own but keep in mind that there is ALWAYS other shit running in the background and with some more threads at hand this is less likely to impact the game.
  21. i think the OP is more concerned about the ISO file being legit or if the site has a history of distributing isos with god knows what modded into them.
