Recently upgraded from X79 to my new system 2 months ago. Im am using the same GPU and PSU as on the old system. I was playing a game when the screen froze(still displaying image) and it gave me the angry buzzing noise and a hard crash. I held down power button untill it rebooted and my PC did not post. The motherboard CPU LED lights up solid red which means something is up with the CPU(according to the manual). When turned on it does not post but the motherboard chipset, NVME drive, and cpu heat up as if its working. Ive tested the CPU 8 pin connector on my psu and its delivering 12V. No CPU overclocks or voltage changes, BIOS was with stock settings except for DRAM speed which was set manually to 6000MT/S, no voltages were changed. Should note that both XMP profiles crashed and would force a reboot hence manually setting the speed. GPU was overclocked to 2050 Mhz but it still works fine. All temps were good.
Already disassembled/re assembled cleaned out connectors/slots, tested RAM individually and GPU, cleared cmos, remounted cpu, checked all the pins, cleaned off the bottom of the cpu with a tiny amount of IPA and a microfiber cloth.
Have functional X79 components to test PSU and GPU on.

Faulty CPU's are pretty rare so any additional troubleshooting suggestions before I fork out money for a new processor are appreciated.
