  1. Wish there was an advanced Ryzen 5 overclocking guide that went into detail about LLC & which voltages to watch while tuning it.

  2. Yeah I've heard it's not the best, I just need clarification by someone who has it with my BIOS or newer who knows what specific voltages I need to keep an eye on regarding what I set & LLC.
  3. At the time of purchase, it was the only decent one available. I know though, next time I build a new PC it'll be after the "new" hardware has been out for at least a year. That'll give companies time to refine BIOS & whatever said companies true colors to shine through regarding optimization & laziness.
  4. It's fine lol, hell they recommend up to but never over 1.45V for Ryzen but personally I don't want to go over 1.4V on air. A 70C spike but usually stayed between 57 & 60C. My motherboard doesn't have offset settings I don't think.
  5. With only 10 days remaining on my second Aida64 Extreme Trail, I want to try getting 3.9GHz out of my R5 1500X now that I've got temperatures under control with my NH-U14S. A quick over hour long test I just now ran of 3.9GHz on 1.3875V revealed some new questions though. With that voltage set in my 7A39v28 BIOS, it auto adjusted it up to 1.392 but during Aida the CPU VDD stayed between 1.344 & 1.356, only once for less than a second spiking to 1.388. That ran for over an hour until I manually stopped it, but before I proceed with a 10 hour run of those same settings or adjusting anything else I'd like a little guidance on fine tuning LLC if what I suspect to be true. By the way, motherboard CPU VCore stayed at 1.400V 1: Does that above mean the auto LLC settings are currently under-volting? 2: Should I start out at 5 & try adjusting them up or down a little until my CPU VDD under load stays at or very slightly above 1.3875V or whatever I set? 3: The 2 newest "stable" BIOS's MSI has released have known voltage issues, should I try the latest beta E739AMS.2D2 found here now or after I play with LLC?
  6. Well I just tried the MSI Realtek HD Audio Driver that supposedly comes with my motherboard. That was the worst sounding thing I've ever heard, went back to the Windows Basic HD Audio Driver. One good thing came out of all this though, now Windows let's me adjust the bass boost amount & frequency that effect does. Although I've found leaving it at default is best, otherwise it sounds muddy or tinny.
  7. Woot someone moved it, thank you to whoever !
  8. I'm sorry I couldn't figure out how to tag you this thread unless you just meant send a link. But yeah I reported it myself too & changed title to include asking it to be moved as well.
  9. The Logitech G600 is sooo heavy & big lol! I'm already getting a tiny bit used to it although I can tell I will need a larger mouse mat & G Pro Tenkeyless keyboard. Right now there's just barely enough room to move without knocking my hand against my CM QuickFire full mechanical keyboard.

  10. Opps, already did under Peripherals, hopefully a forum mod will move it for me as I'm not sure how to request that.
  11. This thread is an active, in progress review of my new Logitech G600 & will be edited as updates arise over time. Day 1: So far it's working fine on my small, free, multi-colored cloth mouse mat. I haven't experienced any tracking issues, even did a circle & line drawing test between this & my G100s, no difference that I can see. While we're on the subject of consistency though, here's an odd one. Whether I turn the Windows setting Enhance Pointer Precision on or off it doesn't seem to effect anything. Maybe this is because it's a Laser mouse I don't know but there was always a noticeable improvement while having it checked on with all my past Optical mice. I've disabled the ring finger click for now until I get more used to the design because I kept accidentally hitting it when moving the mouse to the left. Aside from that though there's only one other issue so far, right out of the box there was a small scratch on the back piano finished surface of the mouse. I can't feel it with my finger or hand, only finger nail if I glide it across multiple times & just barely at that. I've already told Logitech about it in a Contact forum I submitted asking other questions as well but made it clear I don't want a replacement. Oh & while typing this I noticed the mouse makes a scraping sound when I lift it unevenly on my mouse pad. I guess it's just the edge/side texture of the mouse gliding across my mouse pad, hopefully this wont sound even louder if I go with a hard pad in the future. Scratch Pic: Day 2: I've had to reduce the DPI from 300 & 1300 to 200 & 1200 respectively, I had heard that laser mice have built in acceleration but this is the first time I've witnessed it. Also scroll wheel tilt, G7 & the ringer finger buttons are disabled for now until I find a use for them. Week 2: I'm sorry I intend to do a one week later review but I got distracted by other things & just how well this mouse is working out for me. I've yet to have any accuracy issues despite it being laser on a generic cloth pad. Even after a long Double XP Weekend of playing RuneScape for 10 hours a day consisting of constant clicking, the mouse still functions like new. Over A Month Later: So far still no issues, I think I'm past the breaking in point as now all 3 primary buttons sound the same. After the 2 week mark I could hear a noticeable difference between left & the right & ring finger. It & the feel is all the same now though but I'm wondering how long it's gonna take me to get used to using all these side buttons. So far I've only made use of 3-5 regularly, hopefully the rest wont prove to be a waste in the long run as there aren't any mice in-between this amount & just the normal back & forward buttons. 4 Months Later: My Logitech G600 is still working fine, I have experienced a few potential misclicks but I couldn't replicate them. So that could just be a separate issue with whatever I was doing because it usually only happened when I was multi-tasking with multiple windows up, side by side maneuvering between them all.
  12. Yeah I saw some reviews on that, got my G600 now & am going to post a review in progress thread in the mice category of this forum in a few minutes.
  13. Just checked Newegg, G502 is the exact same price as the G600, it has plenty of buttons too. I've made up my mind, if the G600 doesn't work out well enough by the end of this week I'll try exchanging for the G502, maybe then Newegg will cover shipping because on returns I know they don't.
  14. Oh I see, the cloth on the top of mine is paper thin because I've had it for so long it's worn out lol. I've decided that if the mouse works fine I'll keep it & upgrade to a G240 in about a month when I have the money. If there are noticeable tracking issues though & the layout is too difficult to learn then I'll just return it for an Optical mouse because I prefer thicker cloth mouse pads anyway. I'm really hoping it's tolerable though because there ain't many choices with enough buttons in my current price range. Of course I don't absolutely need 12 side buttons, even 2 would be an upgrade over what I have & such a mouse could just become a backup one if in the future I could afford something even better. I can't thank you enough for all the advice though, I'll sleep better knowing what I do now. P.S: I stumbled upon the Corsair MM600, a solid mat with low & high friction sides which would suit me perfectly if it wasn't too big & high priced.
  15. Ah so that's the method to their madness, thinner is better with cloth so it tracks past the pad & onto the desk. In that case if I do have any issues I could probably get better results with a thin piece of cardboard. My current pad is a little under ½ a centimeter thick so I'm guessing 4mm. Do you think any future Optical mouse I own would have trouble with the G440 hard mat? If so then I'd get the G240 like you for a more well rounded solution.
  16. Ah okay & also, I really need to thank you for one thing in particular, your hand size guide. Now I finally know mine are considered large (7.5 inches long)! I had asked & researched that online before in the past but could never find anything. So too big of a mouse will probably never be a problem & since I was able to use a Katar for over a year, too small doesn't exist for me either. Once the G600 get's here (probably tomorrow night), I'll report back that day, then a week & lastly a month later on how it's performed on my cheap cloth mouse pad. When I am able to get a new Cloth or Hard mouse mat by Logitech I'll then compare that to what I've got & note the difference I feel. My only concerns with the hard kind are: lack of control, noise & my finger nails scratching on it. Although that would be a problem with their cloth one too because it's really thin, which makes me wonder if a really thick cloth pad would help with a laser mouse.
  17. I don't know how it took me until now to realize it but, is there really not a built in equalizer in Windows 10 Home 64-bit that'll apply to YouTube & such? I know there's one inside Windows Media Player but I never use that, always streaming mostly rock, metal & some rap from YouTube. What third-party equalizers do y'all recommend that at least have presets & will apply to browser sounds? Thanks in advance cause I might fall asleep soon.
  18. Ohh I didn't realize there were that many hidden comment expansion things even within each other , I'm sorry my bad. I have kind of a hybrid claw/palm grip & really do need more buttons than the standard, although none of my past mice even had a forward & back. I prefer the side button design of the Steel Series Rival 500, their rational for why seems legit too. It looks like the company is neglectful on drivers though, a lot of newegg complaints about that. I'll definitely give your guide a thorough read through all sections. One comforting quote you listed though is gonna help me not worry about my new mouse possibly not working right before I even have it. If the difference is really that small I probably or at least hopefully won't notice it, I don't play competitively tournament wise.
  19. The video reviewers of the G600 I watched weren't using a hard pad & I never have either. Although I've never owned a laser mouse, just optical ones. I'll keep browsing mice anyway though just incase. Right now I'm gonna try to find the differences between Rival 300 & 110. The 110 is cheaper & comes with a free mouse pad but it's basically the same size of the one I already have. I know it'd be a lot of work but you should include in your guide a list of mice in different price brackets, their censors, switches & other things so people can compare since a lot of companies like Logitech don't actually list what's exactly in all their mice.
  20. When I have enhance mouse accuracy off it always overshoots everything I point it at & I can't control the cursor. I was considering the Nyth or Scimitar also but they cost a lot more & out of all the video reviews I watched, more preferred the G600 due to it's overall & side button shape. No one ever mentioned the hard mouse pad thing either, it's all so confusing but ultimately I won't know how it'll work for me until I've got it. Worst case scenario I'll have to return it for another mouse of the same price with less buttons. I like how steel series has a higher click rating than any other mouse but then I'd only have forward & back buttons when truthfully I could make use of a lot more.
  21. Alright I'll try it both ways when it gets here, kinda odd though Logitech markets both the G440 & G240 at their Optical & Laser mice. I might ask them about that when I'm also requesting information on how to clean the mouse without accelerating the hydrophobic coating from wearing off. *EDIT: The lowest & highest DPI settings I usually use on mice are 300 (for image editing) & 1300 for everything else with enhance mouse accuracy on & Windows sensitivity set right in the middle. I don't do any FPS games, just MMOS so I'm really hoping I won't notice any hinderence regardless of where I use the mouse.
  22. It's just one horrible thing right after the other, the payment is already charged so it's too late to return it now. Yeah I saw your guide after I ordered the mouse, thought it was fine to buy because every Newegg & YouTube review I saw were mostly good. If it tracked so badly on cloth or in general I wouldn't think it'd have a 4 star rating. But because I saw your guide is why I made this post which has just lead to even more bad news. I needed an MMO mouse & for the price & Corsairs faulty design it's all I could afford. Now I don't know what to do, I can't afford a new mouse mat this very second if the G600 is gonna be completely unusable from what you're saying.
  23. While cleaning the grooves on my Corsair Katar's scroll wheel using my thumb nail & some 50% Isopropyl Alcohol paper towel. I accidentally pressed too hard & snapped the scroll wheel's shaft off right at where it connects to the scrolling mechanism. I know if it had been on the right side where it hits the button to middle click it could've been fixed with a nail. It's thrown away now though as it was designed in such a way I couldn't attempt such a fix & have a nail stay put. So I just ordered a Logitech G600 because it was on sale for $48 & the design of Corsair's mice's scroll click is turning me off of them now. Unfortunately I'm worried that my new mouse's laser censor won't track well on my small, multi-colored, free mouse pad. For now I'm using my old G100s who's left click takes a lot of force to even register . 1: Should I try to get one from Logitech that's intended for the G600 such as the G240? 2: Do y'all have a better recommendation for around $20 that'll perform better with it's laser censor? 3: Will a RuneScape noob like me even notice a difference coming from the mouse I had & current pad? *EDIT: No I'm not trying to endorse greenhouse fabrics lol I should've taken the pic of it upside down.
