  1. Yes it's possible-I've done it in a prodigy with 2 240mm raidators about 35mm thick
  2. If you do a custom loop and use the 350D I would strongly recommend cutting out the drive bays. With this you can have a 360 and a 240 rad, which would be more ideal for 2 GPUS and a CPU in one loop. Good luck with the build!
  3. Correct yep that's right. You may have to buy an EK Res holder if you want to mount it like so in the bottom picture http://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-res-x3-holder-60mm-2pcs.html
  4. Something like an EK-D5 Vario X-Res will suit your needs. The one i've linked comes with a reservoir attached as I wasn't able to find it on its own, however, it is designed for 60mm tube diameters so it fits perfectly. http://www.ekwb.com/shop/pumps-and-accessories/pumps/ek-d5-series-pump/ek-d5-vario-x-res-100-incl-pump.html You can look in the exact parts included with this on the side to see what exact things you need, as you have a res already
  5. My school spent 50k on iPads for the youngest year whilst the head teacher told me they had to make 500k budget cuts in the same year. They are the only year that has them and you only see them playing their stupid little games all day- real productive and a great investment..
  6. I would suggest buying a multi-top attachment for your reservoir which comes with many filling points. I don't know which reservoir you are using, but, if you were using an EK one then I would recommend this: http://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-res-x3-top-v2-multiport.html I've used in in my build and I just poured the coolant inside one of the ports on the top, then closed again with the included fitting.
  7. Woooo! I was in the screenshot you made of the forum members yay I love the 'community' we have here on the forums and on the channels, there's really nothing like it! Thanks for absolutely everything, I really can't wait to see the watercooled house set-up all fits together!!
  8. This is extremely awesome man, I love the infinite detail you're going into with every part and mod. The painting of the I/0 shield is great and has definitely given me some inspiration for my next build
  9. My list is really small -GT 430 -GTX 660 -GTX780 -R9 290x cf (Just purchased )
  10. Buy some heat resistant spray paint and do it that way. Typically the type they use on car engines and such, I've done it on a MSI Z87M and it works perfectly with no loss of heat dissipation.
  11. It looks as if they use the EK res holders to attach it to the case. You can find them on EK's website here: http://www.ekwb.com/shop/reservoirs-and-acc/reservoir-acc/ek-res-x3-holder-60mm-2pcs.html
  12. Originally I measured the thickness of the block which is around 16mm. But the height of the fc link you pointed out is 25mm. I'll attach a picture to show what I mean: http://imgur.com/EXIxtOF
  13. Nor sure exactly why you are concerned as the waterblock is thinner than any air cooler or whatnot. But anyway I measured the 780 block and its roughly 16mm or so
  14. Thanks for that info, I never knew that. I ended up draining the loop yesterday, cleaning everything, and re-filling it and that has solved the problem-it is now all the same distinctive ice white colour.
  15. Nope everything I bought was brand new
  16. Hello, I'm having this problem with my loop in that there is this sort of reddish gunk building up only in certain sections. This problem has only recently come to my attention, and didn't expect this to happen as I made sure I cleaned out both rads and ran the system with distilled water before hand. I assume this 'gunk' is due to left over residue in the rads but I'd really appreciate any advice on why this has occured? The coolant I'm using is Mayhems Pastel Ice white if that makes any difference. I've attached some pictures to show the problem, as you can see the waterblock on the gpu is not prone to this gunk, so I assume that draining the loop and cleaning everything again would solve the problem? If so is there any sort of additives you would recommend I use to prevent this problem? Or a complete different coolant altogether?
  17. Yes, as the other user mentioned, I purchased the 780 ti waterblock as the screws allign perfectly, and I do not believe there are any actual 780 blocks from EK-well last time I checked.
  18. The primochill ghost fittings do actually fit on that port, its just that the thread on the pump is slightly recessed. Therefore, they provide you with a small extender that you put into that port and then screw the primochill fitting into that. You could technically just use the primochill fitting without the included extender fitting, but it's just incase of any leaks as you mentioned
  19. Hi all! This is not only my first build log on the forums, but also my first endeavour into the watercooling scene. For a while I've wanted to put my system under water, and even though I'm a student I didn't want to make too many sacrifices on the performance or aesthetics of the build. Hence, I bought all the core components for this build as I could afford them (as much as my lowly-paid part time job could allow me to) and then proceeded to purchase the watercooling components much more recently. Even though it was my first attempt at putting any system under water (previously only owned air coolers) I plunged into the scene of acrylic tubing, and so far I'm really happy that I did-yet it has caused quite a few hours of anger and frustration so far! As of now I'm only going to give you guys some small teasers for the whole build, as I'm currently waiting on the last few items to finish the build off Current System Specifications: ¬Intel Core i7 2700k 3.5GHz ¬Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe ¬GTX 780 Reference ¬Bitfenix Prodigy White ¬Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz ¬Corsair Ax 760 ¬Samsung 1TB HDD Watercooling Gear: ¬EK Supremracy Nickel Plexi ¬EK GTX 780 Ti Full cover block ¬DDC 3.2 PWM -EK X-RES 140 ¬2 x 240mm Radiators ¬Primochill 1/2 3/8 Acrylic tubing ¬Primochill 1/2 3/8 Compression fittings ¬EK PSC 90 Degree fittings ¬Bitspower L Fitting- Black Sparkle ¬Mayhems Ice White Pasel Fluid And of course other accessories such as Fans, Splitters, LED Lighting etc -Here's a few pictures to give you some idea of the build itself, I'll be posting a few pictures each day until everything is complete so feel free to follow the topic to receive frequent updates from me! (Apologies for the lousy quality, please bare with me) Oh, and by the way I'm going to be using Mayhems Ice White Pastel, so it should give some nice contrast with the other features of the build
  20. This is really nice man! Your tubing runs are clean af! I'd add a CPU block definitely, but maybe keep with the 120rad if your temps are ok, or not planning to go SLI. In regards to a 1440p monitor.. Please do, you won't regret it
  21. Yup I painted it white have a look through my profile and you'll find it. I'm on my phone so I can't post the pics here
  22. I don't know too much about the best out and out 27inch 1080p monitor. But as an owner I can definately say the 250 I spent on a Korean 1440 monitor was worth it. So I'd recommend one of those-I have the crossover 27Q by the way. I use a hmi to dvi cable for my console and it works perfectly
  23. Haha, fair enough! I totally support (and envy) your choice to spend that much on the watercooling parts.. I knew once I started it was like an addiction and I didn't want to skimp on anything whatsoever. Love the background story to the build!
