Lenovo X1 extreme vs Razer blade 15 for college
Dayen replied to Dayen's topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
The Lenovo can be bought through the school and that's why it's so compelling because it's nearly at cost. -
I fixed it, I put both RAM sticks in the B slots. There is something wrong with the A2 slot on my motherboard, but the B slots work with the XMP and dual channel just fine.

If you're going to multitask, then get the Ryzen. The 8 cores allow you to have as many apps open as you want. If you dont have a tabzilla lifestyle then you can get the Intel one i guess

I have a 16GB Corsair LPX kit that is rated at 3000MHz, but whenever I try to set it to that with XMP, it will work and then soft-lock my system while simultaneously resetting the BIOS to default. How can I get it to run at 3k and not crash? Since I'm on Ryzen it would be pretty nice to have my RAM running at full speed instead of nearly 2/3 speed. The specs of my PC are as follows to stave off the inevitable question. Ryzen R7-1700x Hyper-212 evo Gigabyte Aorus x370 k7 ver 1.0 Corsair LPX 16GB 3000 Aorus RX 580 extreme EVGA Supernova 750 Thanks.

So I have an RX 580 and ever since a recent patch I have been unable to run Overwatch for more than 10 minutes without it crashing. Does anyone know how to fix this? My current driver is the Crimson Relive 17.11.1, and Overwatch worked last week with no instability or crashes.

So I have a Gigabyte Aorus RX 580, and a Gigabyte Aorus K7 AM4 motherboard. For some stupid reason I cannot figure out how to use Gigabyte's software to actually sync the two components together. I can change the Motherboard in the BIOS and the GPU in Windows with the software utility, but the RGB Fusion software is a total dud. Can someone pls help?

You could try to buy an old AM3 motherboard and CPU combo. They're pretty cheap these days and emulation won't be slow with that kind of juice -
Go for it dude I just got a DSI from my cousin and I'm playing Pokemon Diamond again for fun. It's a great little console since and since it's technically bootable you can run ROMs on it if you want to.

Try to get a 1050ti since the price is not that much more. It will make your computer much better in games.

I just bought a Gigabyte RX 580 and the software to control it is not working sometimes. It will go into not responding and then crash. Please help? Here's the link https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125960&cm_re=rx_580-_-14-125-960-_-Product

Do keep in mind that I would have to buy a new motherboard and RAM to go along with my CPU. I'm not really sure which upgrade would do more for me at this time.
