UPDATE: I think I found a Phenom II x4 925 (it's a 95w version too) for 60 bucks

It should play most newer games at 1080p on a mix of medium settings. Still better than anything else for 200. I did just sell a similar PC for nearly 350 last month lol!

Under 50 dollars on eBay. Problem is, the board I got doesn't have core unlocking feature.

So I have been given a stupidly low budget for a gaming PC. Basically I grabbed an AM2+ board off of eBay and I wanna know which CPU go get. The Phenom ii's are very powerful, good IPC's excellent design and 6mb of L3 cache. While the Phenom I x4 is a quad core but are about 800-1000MHz slower and lack cache on both L2 and L3, but he's begging for a quad core. Would a Phenom x4 9500 beat says a Phenom II x2 545? CPU has to be AM2+ compatible and under 50 bucks btw.

VERY VERY occasions in Scottland do they wear one I think. They have pretty much disappeared!
