  1. Try using bootcamp instead. Gaming thru virtualization like that (I have done it) leads to terrible performance like sub 20 FPS, even with all the 3D acceleration boxes checked.
  2. As you may have noticed 4k 60FPS stable does not come at affordable prices for many.
  3. At $600 4k 60fps is not really within reach at least on high settings. 2080Ti is out of budget so either a 1080 Ti or a RTX 2080 Does your PSU have a green label or black and grey?
  4. Do you hear the pump at all? Its possible that the pump is going out either from wear, or if there is some air in the system.
  5. You can do that, I would make sure the WiFi networks in the suite are guest networks, and the switch hooked up to the AP is has the ports tagged for a seperate vlan. I dont know if you have a USG or another router that is capable of VLANs.
  6. i7-2600 is not compatible with that motherboard. You need something in the 6x or 7x series motherboards (5+ years old) not a 3xx series An i7-2600 is LGA 1155, NOT LGA1151
  7. Sorry must have missed it. I know you said various known good RAM, have you tried running Memtest86? It could be a problem not with the modules but the slots/connections to the CPU itself.
  8. 1.8kw PSU would trip anything but a 20amp circuit if max loaded in North america / any place with 120v output. Also a 20amp power cable would not fit in most home american outlets a 1000w standard 80 + gold without a name brand raises all sorts of red flags A good 1kW PSU would be fine for that system
  9. Try re-imaging the flash drive with the Windows 10 ISO.
  10. 1803 still has quite a while for support and updates though
  11. I don't know if they repackage the ISO every month, or just the major build releases
  12. 150 is an odd number, have you tried speed testing against another server? I would expect if there was a wiring or network card issue it would be at 100Mbps Are you able to try a another network cable? or move your PC next to the modem and use a short cable. Cat5e is perfectly fine
  13. Here is some useful information, a complete list of supported processors and some info on BIOS
  14. You should be able to put a 3rd Gen i5 in there or maybe i7 with a BIOS update depending on what BIOS revision you have, the latest BIOS is A14 from 2018 https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/optiplex-390/drivers People have at least gotten i7-2700's working
  15. More datacenter centric stuff probably in relation into more endurance and consistent performance. It wont effect your experience negatively
  16. https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/product/data-center/883dct/ Iooks to be SATA and not SAS so it would be compatible with normal desktops
  17. Its going to depend heavily on the game, some games wont care, others will see a notable frame rate increase, it depends on the engine.
  18. lets wait until we get some benchmarks really. I dont know anything about DAW but maybe there are diminishing returns on CPU cores or it is more optimized for Intel Arch as opposed to AMD.
  19. W10 EDU is meant to sale to college's universities etc, for use on the computers. The feature set is largely the same as Windows 10 Enterprise, though i did hear somewhere that they may be discontinuing the edu edition. An individual user cannot buy a EDU or Enterprise license. As you noticed the Install language can only be set well during the install, that being said you can install other language packs.
  20. Try it and find out, if not you may need to replace it, depending on the OEM of your system that may or may not be easy
  21. I mean otherwise it would be false advertising?
  22. Keep in mind you are also asking someone to risk damaging their components.
  23. If your application benefits from more cores instead of clock speed maybe look at the Ryzen lineup.
  24. Download and install onto flash drive https://www.memtest86.com/ Run a memory diagnostic make sure you don't get any errors, this could take awhile depending on amount of memory and speed, go for at least 1 pass. That would at least rule out any physical hardware defects with your RAM.
