  1. That is what im using sorry if I wasn't clear, One is being used as a mesh router the other is Ai Mesh router and the other is a Mesh node wired uplink.
  2. I see, thank you ill try to see if I can set that up at one point.
  3. I'm not too familiar with networking so Im just afraid I might mess things up so I just used the mesh system out of symplicity. But is that why its causing that issues in zoom?
  4. The AC5300 is the main router because it is the better one and it is running in AI mesh router mode. the AC3100 is running in ai mesh node
  5. So I have recently installed an Asus RT-AC3100 as an AI mesh node for my GT-AC5300 router(wired directly) for a room the wifi was weak in, The connection is strong now with 4 bars and about 200-300 Mpbs and 4 ping according to speedtest.net and these are pretty decent wifi speeds considering I have gigabit but even though the connection is strong with 4 bars for some reason when I am in a zoom call it freezes and unfreezes randomly, starting that the connection is unstable even though i have full bars. This does not occur when I am wired directly. Does anyone know why this occurs? thanks in advanced
  6. I edit 4k video with color grading and I just want faster transfer speeds
  7. Would it work if I got a PCIe adapter instead?
  8. Does anyone know what gen m.2 this mobo has? I cant tell this is all it says in the manual https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA2011/Rampage_V_Extreme/E9550_rampage_v_extreme_ug_WEB.pdf pg1-41 I am thinking about getting this ssd Gigabyte AORUS NVMe Gen4 M.2 1TB PCI-Express 4.0 for my mobo would this work/ recomended? thanks in advanced
  9. The Ai mesh node is connected via Ethernet back to the main router
  10. So I just switched my router to be connected directly to my ONT and I am getting about 400 Mbps over wifi in the same room however when I go to a further room, where my other Asus AI Mesh node(connected via Ethernet) is the wifi speeds are only around 100 Mbps, is there anything I can do?
  11. I am using 5g wifi and sorry im not to familiar with networking terminology, what is reported phy rate to clients. Also what do you mean by what client am I using. I have about 25 devices on the wifi and 5 hard wired
  12. No we have another router from verizion that I think uses coax to connect it to the ONT, now that I think about it, I should have the asus router directly wired to the ONT right?
  13. I have seen some people with just some netgear router with about 500/500 Mbps wifi speeds, how are they doing that?
  14. So I have gigabit internet from Verizon Fios, If I connect by wire directly I get 4 ping, about 700 download and about 875 upload. But once I switch to wifi I am only getting about 5 ping, 83 Mbps download and 55 Mbps upload. I am using an Asus GT-AC5300 as the main router, connected to the verizon router/modem box, and I am using an RT-AC3100 as an AI Mesh node which I recently got because I thought it would help. Even when I stand about 10 feet from the router the highest speed on wifi I am getting is about 150/200 Mbps. Can anyone help me figure out why this is?
  15. I have an Asus AC5300 router but its not getting through a room on the same floor because the walls of that room are mostly concrete because it used to be a garage. I have a gigabit switch in that room but I want better wifi as well, I am currently only getting about 2 bars. Is a wireless access point what I am looking for? and if it is any recommendations that are compatible with the asus AC5300 router?
