  1. Hmm I guess its not really feasible then. I wanted to keep the footage locally instead of storing else where, hence I switched from nest to some other POE cameras
  2. Hello, I was wondering if its possible to use a mixture of an SSD and hard drive for a network video recorder for security camaras. Like for example I would want most recent footage up to a week stored on the SSD and then have that footage moved to the hard drive for longer term archival after a week has passed. How would you implement this if possible? I will just be using a VMS like blue iris on a pc I built. The reason I want to do this is incase I need to watch a clip of something that occurred and I want smooth and fast playback. Also I realized this would probably wear out the ssd a lot quicker, so I was planning on purchasing a small enterprise level ssd. Thanks in advanced!
  3. Just wondering if anyone knows what wrong with my loop that there is already build up in my EK CPU Velocity water block or is that normal? I am using: EKWB EK-Quantum Velocity CPU Water Block EK-Quantum Vector FE RTX 3090 EKWB EK-CoolStream CE 420 Radiator, Triple, Black Hydro X Series XL5 Performance Coolant 1L — Clear Corsair Hydro X Series XD5 RGB Pump/Reservoir Combo
  4. Does any of a similar product that is a laptop dock with a hard drive enclosure? Similar to this WD product but with a hard drive slot instead of an ssd? https://www.amazon.com/WD_Black-Game-Thunderbolt-Connectivity-WDBA3U0000NBK-NESN/dp/B08FG6JNZ6/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=game%2Bdock&qid=1627058774&s=electronics&sr=1-4&th=1 Thanks
  5. worse case if it breaks, will i lose all my data?
  6. its like a rectangular piece of rubber that pushes on that whole red part I circled, I think its a equivalent pressures of using your finger to lightly push something down. if that even makes sense lol. Sorry Idk how else to describe it
  7. is it a problem if a rubber thing slightly pushes against that area?
  8. Sorry I don't want to take the WD label off but this is what I see
  9. Hello does anyone know what this circled part of the ssd is? I just updated my laptop with this ssd and a small rubber thing slightly pushes against this part. Should I be concerned? Thanks in advance. The ssd is a WD SN750 4TB ssd
  10. Hello, So my computer randomly freezes every so often for about 5-10 seconds and then goes back to normal as it freezes the sound cuts out and screen is frozen and the you hear some kind of spinning up noise from my hard drives and then it goes back to normal after 5-10 seconds. The computer specs are as follows: CPU: i7 6850k Motherboard: Asus rampage v RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance LED 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 GPU Nvidia 3090 FE Storage 400 gb intel PCI-e ssd, 2x 12TB Western Digital Hard drive, 4tb segate hybrid hard drive PSU evga 1600 titanium Display(s) Asus Rog swift 34 in Cooling Swiftech H320 X2 Prestige 3x120 mm Drive X2 Prestige AIO CPU Cooler
  11. well i have one gpu, one pcie ssd, and one usb expansion card so I wanted an extra incase i need to add a 10gb lan later on or something
  12. oh yeah sorry, im in the us and prefably 4 pcie lanes and around 8 USB and anything under 1000$
  13. Can anyone recommend some motherboards for a 5950x, I do 4k video editing and occasionally game. I also plan to custom water cool it. I was looking at the MSI Godlike and the creation but I heard the creation is not as good with overclocking and the Godlike is just out of stock or scalped. . . Any other recommendations? prefer 4 pcie lanes, 10G Lan, and more usb 3 ports. Thanks in advance
