Strange, but I can see the sense in it. Moving to a smaller node faster is a good idea instead of having a stopgap at 20nm which would likely end up being a few years. If AMD had done stuff at 20nm, then it still wouldn't be good enough, so straight to 14nm is a more sensible choice.

The reference nvidia cooler is quiet, until you put it under high load. Then it's pretty loud depending on the case of course. Temps are average, not that great compared to an open cooler but still decent, I tend to get around 79C to 80C on my 770 when playing just cause 2. When just browsing etc. the cooler is still audible, but is fairly quiet (I've tested it with the rest of my rig being passively cooled). If you are using a case with tight airflow, go for it, but otherwise unless you can't live without the aesthetics then go for something with a better cooler.

The closest I can think of is a high up district judge. However you need to work as a lawyer for a minimum of 10 year before, and there's no guarantee you'll get through the process, if there are any positions available at all. Let's just say I have a rather rich relative who has more holidays than someone who works term time and they're a district judge with a few extra side titles. 100 days of work a year, where you basically sit in a chair, listen to evidence being called out, statements and then decide on someones future, then do a summary write up afterwards.

YAY! Hamertime: To add my tuppence to the debate. No, I do not believe in religion, however I was raised as a Protestant of the Church of England, have been to a CofE school for primary school and have been at a Jewish high school for the last 7 years. I've learnt a lot about different variations of religion, and personally I believe religion has been good in the past to allow people control of the uneducated, unwashed masses. It also gives people something to look for in life, a sense of hope perhaps. Religion has a waning place in society, personally I believe it is holding us back as a species but it is still relevant for the time being. I am an atheist and always will be, however my family is religious so I feel sympathetic to those who are religious, I understand why people might want to be and I accept that it is just the way of life. p.s. If there is one religion I would ever think of following it would be Sikhism, due to the fact it does so much to help those who are unprivileged and the attitudes of those Sikhs I have met in the past.

As @Johners said, it would be impossible both due to the size of them both and the monopoly laws in place. If one were to buy the other, one example of a clear monopoly would be the search engine area, so either bing (god save us all) or google would have such a large measured majority that they would be required to split up into smaller companies again. However, ignoring monopolies I reckon MS would buy google, even though google are probably larger.

Considering I got mine for cheaper than a 960 the other month, I'm actually quite pleased with it for a "short term" graphics card. It has pretty good performance and OCs decently, and although I haven't ran out of VRAM yet, my usage is quite high. If you can get a 770 for around or less than a 960 then it's a steal if you ask me, but more than a 960 and it becomes worthless.

I've never really heard of finalmouse much before besides the odd comment here and there, and although I'm very happy with my G600 I'd quite like the opportunity to try out other mice.

They didn't blow up the houses of parliament, they just fell down due to lack of repair. Also, I never saw olympus has fallen but I may need to see it now as this looks quite good.
