  1. I don't think opening with an English meme cover by Haachama of all things is a great way to introduce anybody to Hololive. As you can probably guess from the reactions you've already gotten: Even if you're a massive Haaton and want her to be somebody's first exposure to Hololive, I think a clip compilation of just her even just a clip of her vomiting on stream would be better than that. Otherwise a general compilation would be much better: And if you want to go down the music route, I think Towa's covers would be a much better place to start. Or if you want original songs, I just made a playlist of better picks for this: And there's also Mori Calliope's rap stuff if you wanna show people English speaking Hololive through music:
  2. I was pretty sure the collab was already canceled by the time the stabbing threats came through, since the stabbing threat was said he'd do it if the collab happens anyway.
  3. Could we get a video showing how this was filmed with the camera setup and audio? I usually see people either working around a tripod, holding a camera up all the time, or bad quality camera glasses for videos just walking around. So I'm pretty interested to see how they kept up the quality from his view like that, like if he had a full camera strapped to his head. And yeah since there's a discussion on it I wanna weigh in too, I really don't think a video meant to be a general PC building guide should show pulling up a CPU cooler by the fan like that, even if it works out for you there's obviously also people here who've damaged their fans like that so I feel for the intended audience they should be shown how to be more careful. I don't really have an opinion on the other stuff except plugging in the sata randomly, since I really think encouraging people to read the manual first in general is a good idea.
  4. Steam does have a system yeah, it even marks them on a graph you can expand to see even without Augmented Steam, and the review bombs are covered under it. Though to explain what caused the review bombing, Muse Dash gave explicit permission to Hololive to stream and advertise the game regularly since it came out. But then retroactively repealed that permission after Coco committed the crime of reading Taiwan on a list of YouTube analytics so. Gura even streamed the game a few days before that happened even. So all the archives of Muse Dash across the various members had to be taken down. The review bombing happened because the people who bought it because of Hololive really didn't like that. But if we really wanna talk about Chinese related review bombing you should look at Monster Hunter World's reviews, which were also marked by steam so they should be easy to find. I don't think I can link to any directly without getting purged for politics, but there's uh, certainly a lot of reviews making fun of somebody who couldn't breath because of a knee thanks to the bad Monster Hunter movie making a really dumb joke about Chinese knees. Anyway, I think the biggest issue here is how the Chinese branch of Asus is directly interfering with the JP branch and how the HQ in Taiwan seems to have been either unaware, complacent, or generally unable to do anything about this. The CN branch is going really far with it, there was even a PR person going as far to say they'd rush the JP office with a knife if the collaboration goes through anyway. Though just as a note, the content of the post they made is really spectacular too, with insulting Hololive and it's members down to insults like "lul ur moms ded" to paraphrase it lightly. The Virtual Youtubers reddit thread is probably the most up to date place currently to read/discuss it now if you want to go into more detail really, since the official Hololive one is locked.
  5. I know I said that, but shipping to Brazil is already expensive, like +100-200$ for large or heavy items from different calculators I'm looking at, and even light stuff might be around 30-50$. Along with if anything is broken getting it returned and refunded would be pretty hellish. I mentioned it because Brazilian taxes are insane though, like the i7-6700 is 1249 R$ / 382 $ and the i5-6600 is 899R$ or 275$. That's about the cheapest in raw price I've found from sites I checked so far. http://www.kabum.com.br/hardware/processadores/intel I guess building it myself (although I would like to give them experience with building) or stuffing everything with foam into the case and then shipping it off for +300$ might work if it doesn't break in shipping, but on top of that they're on a hardline budget with this, and I would sort of like it if they could pay back all or most of the difference, so the currency conversion back later would also cost money, so I'm not sure if I wanna pay for that shipping ontop of being over 100$ what they can afford. Also because I forgot to mention it in the post, I doubt they'll be over clocking anything. In USD I guess everything will actually have to be around 700$ since shipping or buying it in Brazil will eat up huge chunk either way.
  6. Hello everyone, first topic I'm making on these forums. Yay! Back onto the reason for the topic though: Budget and Location They're in Brazil of course, and budget is about 3500R$, or Roughly 1060$ USD / 944 Euros at the moment of posting. The 3500R$ is more of a hardline budget working off an allowance, but if it's only a bit over that we can probably cover the difference. I have some basic experience with building some (bad) PCs myself, they've never built one before, and neither of us has had to do a build in Brazil before so buying parts might be the biggest challenge with the taxes. And on that subject, I'm open to the idea of buying parts in the US where I live before shipping them off if that'll somehow save money vs Brazilian taxes. Aim The aim of the PC is just to be able to run all kinds of games reasonably smoothly, or at least without any issues caused by hardware itself. From stuff like DotA2/LoL, OverWatch, CS:GO, TF2, heavily modded Bethesda games, and so on, including yes, Minecraft and Crysis 2. Although it being optimized for faster action and multiplayer games like Overwatch might be preferable if you had to chose over that and other games. After that basic aim, optional goals include, being in a small form factor case with handles (or just good handles at all on a larger case) and dustproof/resistant would be more goals, and then upgradability and silence. Anything after that like being able to 3D model, video/image editing, streaming, ect isn't needed, although option for VR support in the future as is would be nice if somehow possible. And despite the portability it won't need Wifi, although if the motherboard comes with that it'd also be nice. Monitors and Peripherals With displays, they currently have 32 Inch Samsung Smart TV 32J4300 (which has HDMI), and an 18.5 inch 1336x768 60Hz monitor with VGA only called the P971WAL from Positivo that came with their old PC. For now the plan is just to use those two in a horribly mismatched dual monitor set up, (getting the proper VGA converter if needed), and just buy better monitors at a later date. Same thing with the peripherals. They have a very mismatched Cooler Master CM Storm QuickFire TK Wired Gaming Keyboard, and Microsoft Optical Mouse 200, but replacing the mouse can also just be done later too. And we'll probably need a Windows 7 Home/Pro, but the cost of a new one is something they or I can probably cover myself so there shouldn't be a need to account for that in the cost of the build. They also don't have any sound system either, but if the Smart TV doesn't have speakers, they could get ear buds to hold them over for the time being, or I could get them Koss KSC75s since they're super pretty cheap for me to go and get from Wallmart if shipping it off doesn't kill my wallet. And in the off chance it'll be helpful, made a quick PC Part Picker list with the Peripherals so far. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/vXwbLD Why are you upgrading? And finally, the reason for upgrading is because their very old pre-built PC from Positivo was fried after it was left plugged in directly into a power outlet during a thunderstorm when lightning struck close enough to the house/powerline/ect, so most of it was fried. It's a good chance to upgrade at least since the old pre-built was was pretty horrible. The old Positivio PC had a 500GB HDD that might be possible to salvage, but not much else, only a single 2GB stick with unknown DDR which probably isn't worth trying to reuse, and the Windows Home Premium key if I can get them to bother looking around the PC case, although even then I'm guessing it's probably tied to the old motherboard (which also had a built in CPU apparently) so that probably wouldn't work. The reason I'm planning things out for them too is because they were about to buy a way overpriced pre-built PC before I offered to try and help them built one personally. But, I have no idea how to go about buying parts in Brazil though, I only have two topics about Brazilian PCPartPicker support with a list of online stores to look at and use. https://pcpartpicker.com/forums/topic/57889-brazilian-stores-can-i-help-somehow-to-build-a-brazil-option https://pcpartpicker.com/forums/topic/75625-can-we-add-brazil-to-the-supported-country-list
  7. It seems like a pretty decent smart phone for the price. I'm not really big on the whole thing a lot of modern phones do where you can't take them apart as needed to replace batteries, repair it, ect while also not being waterproof at least to justify to me not being so. Since while in this case it's not waterproof to maximize speaker quality, I use a headset for calls and music anyway. But I do however have friends who never open up their phones, don't use headsets, and also don't care for waterproofness, so I could always give it to one of them as an upgrade to their current phones.
  8. I'm using an EVGA TORQ X5 Wired Optical Mouse on various different padded mousepads on my left side (currently a generic Staples one for a lack of anything else to use at the moment) and a Logitech K310 on a passable Vipamz Extended Xxxl Gaming Mouse Pad which isn't to the level of quality I was hoping for, but it could be worse for the price, along with a Koss KSC75 and Blue Ant Pumps for sound. If I won however I'd mainly everything in the two builds for friends I mentioned in the AMD post instead of myself since they could definitely make much better use of them since: I can't really use a right handed mouse anyway, need an easily cleanable keyboard more than I need better switches, and rather soft mousepads over hard ones from my experience, although I might use the Arias for a while before giving it to one of them too if I don't make some updates to my sound setup I already had in mind by then.
  9. I have a 2GB GTX 770, so upgrading to one of those should give a slight performance boost according the lazy Googling I did on top of letting me use four monitors with HDMI/Display Port instead of two, but I'm somewhat bottlenecked by my CPU anyway at the moment so I don't think I'd see that much more performance overall unless I get a better CPU afterwards. Besides that however, I could also use it in two different builds, with my main use in mind being a new gaming PC for a friend who fried their old one because it was left plugged and turned on in his house during a thunder storm. And the another which is a stock trading PC for an acquaintance which could use the extra display ports, although that'd be a bit of a waste of it's power so I probably wouldn't use it for that purpose if I could avoid it.
