CyberHusky88 reacted to Origami Cactus in What should I expect from $300 IEMs?
Because it is like that in literally any hobby. Tip your toes before spending 50k and then regretting it in the end, because 100$ setup sounds basically the same.

You WILL get basically the same sound quality than much higher cost systems, that is way better than your current setup.
You can put that saved money into a fiio btr5 or any other dac/amp, instead of buying expensive headphones you can't run with your current setup.
And if you find that desktop amps and dacs are too fiddly etc, you can still connect the KZ's to your phone.

CyberHusky88 reacted to Sakkura in Will net neutrality effect Canadians?
Changes to net neutrality rules in the US should not directly affect Canadians... probably.

But there's a good chance the same changes would happen in Canada if it goes through in the US.

CyberHusky88 got a reaction from asim1999 in How would you stop your parents asking you for tech support?
My only real issue with doing Tech support for my family, is when I tell them not to use a solution. (Super cheap wireless keyboard, wireless HDMI, etc...) they then get annoyed with them and then come complaining to me about their problems. (I'm not sure if this makes it worse or better, but my dad was an up-to-date techie in 2005, however he's way out of date now.)

Well I wont be upgrading to Windows 10 any time soon, even though it seems like a hell of a OS.

Have you ever tried uninstallting anything on an android phone from samsung/sony/whatever, its full of crap noone ever uses and all it does is cry for upgrades and to have access to your entire phone, I bet when this hits Candy Crush will be able to: Read all your data on the harddrive, get your location, send notifications to King and MS, send "annonymous data" to whatever third party paid MS or King for it. This even before you have installed Windows 10 completely. When I install an OS I expect a clean OS with minimal programs so I can choose what to install and when. Windows 8 was borderline(still using indows 7) if you ask me with all the shit that got pre-installed.

That is why I want a payed option with NOTHING installed except the OS and a webbrowser, rest I can fix on my own. Sure I know I might be a minority on this, but being a IT-professional its scary to see people dont care anything about where their data gets uploaded to.

What if MS decides that you cannot uninstall it, what then? Your computer will be just like your phone, full of crap you will never use, but its still there using resources and uploading data......

CyberHusky88 reacted to Vanderburg in Republicans want a net neutrality law, but only if it stops the FCC from handling it
The problem isn't net neutrality. The problem here really is regulation. You can't give ISPs near exclusive control of a region, then expect them to do the right thing. Get rid of the regulation, that is, quit protecting the ISPs and exclusivity in regions. Let new ISPs come in and compete. Net neutrality wouldn't even be on our radar if consumers have options. Competition would prevent it. If you had multiple real ISPs to choose from (And I don't mean 100Mbps Time Warner and 8Mbps AT&T - that isn't competition) at your house, and one of them started to throttle something you use regularly, customers would be free to change, the loss of business would be real, then the ISPs would realize how dumb they are.

I'm guessing it was this law:
"I am a complete noob, and because I do not understand something you are breaking some kind of rule, despite the fact that you did very little, if anything wrong"
That pretty much sums up the technological understanding at my school...

I see where you are coming from but I would personally never advise anyone to do that. Then rather just keep using Windows 7 as the security enhancements and what not in Windows 8 won't matter to the regular user.

Not that we are going to have a huge debate on Windows 8 here, but I personally see the design in Windows 8 as a huge improvement with a lot of nice functionality and it would be my mission to enlighten these non-tech savvy employees.
