  1. Title. Issue at hand : GPU keeps getting error randomly and makes the 1920x1080 resolution unavailable in the display properties (monitor keeps getting set to 1680x1050 resolution at 60hz), 144hz option also not showing on the Display Adapter Properties. Bought the gpu last November 15. Was doing fine for a couple of days. After turning my computer 3 days of initial purchase, I saw that a popup error occured from Radeon GPU Driver: "AMD Wattman has returned to its default settings" etc etc. From then on, I've been experiencing the issue for about 5 times since date of purchase. Steps that I did: 1. Re-seat the GPU. 2. Several PC Resets. 3. DDU even before installing the gpu out of the box. Issue appeared. 4. Unplugged DP Cable to use HDMI then switched back again to DP Cable. Worked for a couple of days. Issue re-appeared. 5. DDU again (safe mode). Installed GPU driver. Issue re-appeared. 6. Reformatted Windows 10 and updated to Build 1909. Worked for a couple of days (until last December 10). Issue re-appeared. I'm now leaning to selling my GPU and buy a 2070S. Too tired and fed up already in troubleshooting this GPU. If anyone of you has the same issue or has some idea to how I could fix this, any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need details on my PC, its on my sig.
  2. Recently happened to me. Would go to 1920x1080 resolution (was stuck to 1680x1050p). Steps that I did 1. DDU'd the latest driver 2. Reverted back to old driver (2 steps down the latest one) 3. Used HDMI as opposed to DP. Was able to go to 1920x1080 4. Updated drivers again 5. Used Display port again. Retained 1920x1080p resolution GPU Used : Sapphire Nitro + RX 5700XT Monitor : AOC G2790PX Might work for you. Give it a try.
  3. Hey guys. Just recently purchased a Sapphire Nitro + RX 5700 XT. And as I was playing SW:Jedi Fallen Order, I noticed that the temperature for my GPU was reaching 81c and my Junction Temp was reaching 97c. Is there any way to lower the temps without proper cooling? I've already set custom fan curves per temp for my gpu. Thank you for the help.

Does any one know the magic formula to heal dep…

Repeat this over and over "There is more to life than love" In the days / weeks / months to come, be sure to do other things that could take your mind off of the break up. And always remind yourself that there are worse problems ahead that you may face and this isn't the only hurdle you need to surpass. Trust me on this one. I've been in your shoes more than once. One more thing, initiate the "No Contact Rule". Meaning no ANYTHING from your ex. Do not contact the person. Ignore the persons attempts to contact you. This rule is by no means a technique to get him back. It's a technique to make yourself a better person. Don't even fantasize of you and that person getting back together. Keep your feet firm on the ground. No relapses, no wishful thinking. I sound harsh to some extent, but this is the reality that you are currently living in. That person is gone in your life. And you shouldn't let yourself be pulled down by what happened. Easier said than done, right? But at least it's something to start with.
  5. Bummer. The Windows 7 that I had before grabbing the free upgrade to Windows 10 was OEM. Making it unusable to this new rig. Gonna buy me a new license it seems. Thanks for the answers!
  6. Hi guys. Gonna go straight to the scenario. Built a new rig yesterday (Specs in the sig). Tried to install my Windows 10 (which I got from the 2015 Windows 7 to Windows 10 Free Upgrade). Windows not activating anymore. RECAP on how many devices I've used this license. (I DONT HAVE ANY WINDOWS 10 PRODUCT KEY SINCE IT WAS FREE FROM MS). 1. 2015 from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Update. i5 2500k P67 Motherboard. WORKED. 2. 2016. Installed on a new rig. i5 4690k Z97 Motherboard. WORKED. 3. 2016. Installed on a new rig. i5 6500 B150M Motherboard. WORKED. 4. 2018. Installed on a new rig. Ryzen 7 2700X B450 Motherboard. NOT WORKING. Any work around on this? Thanks.
  7. It actually depends on how badly you want the game. Personally, it's a no from me if the price you're paying for for a 2nd hand is almost the price of a brand new basing on your location. Where I live, brand new costs around $60 and $40 for a 2nd hand. So in my case, considering the price in my area, yes it is. THEN AGAIN, you're the only one who could decide if you badly want the game. Goodluck.
  8. Knowing Nintendo? No. Try 2nd hand market for the games. You'll get better luck there in terms of lower pricing.
  9. ^ What made me crack a laugh was the Turkey bowling mission. Good mission.
  10. It's a good game. "Could" be compared to Dark Souls series. But in all honesty, it's a different game in itself. I played Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1-3 and Bloodborne btw. Buy it if you have the chance. Played Nioh for more than 100hrs too (on my ps4 pro though). You won't regret it.
  11. I just wanted to play on PC. been playing on PC since 1995 Transitioned to console gaming on 1997 but still playing PC (starcraft, jazz the jack rabbit, etc) Up until now, I play on both platforms.
  12. Filco for mech keyboard. Logitech for mice.
  13. Here's 2 of my Filco Mechs. Top is the Filco Majestouch 2 Yellow Keycap Edition (had the keycaps already replaced though.) Had it for 4 years already. Bottom is the Filco Majestouch 2 Camouflage Multicam Edition. Just bought it yesterday. Brand new and with 1 year warranty. Both having Cherry MX Blues.
  14. This. I'm a PC gamer first and foremost. But recently, I find myself playing on my PS4 since I'm a big fan of single player games with awesome story. Heck, I even re-bought Horizon Zero Dawn with the Frozen Wilds DLC yesterday just to re-play that awesome game which offers awesome story backed with awesome graphics BUT so-so gameplay. I'm even planning on getting myself a Nintendo Switch too. Lol. In order to not miss anything, get them all. Except for XBOX X, I guess. Since you can play the games on that thing on PC too.
  15. I just want a new PC and name him "Jack Torrance"

  16. Will take into considerations all the things that you said and pointed out. Thank you so much.
  17. That's actually not a bad suggestion. I was just holding off on that CPU since : 1. This current rig will be handed down to my fiance (excluding PSU, RAM, and GPU) 2. If I were to go that upgrade path (i7 7700), I won't be able to give this rig to her since I'll be using this instead and I'll be forced to build her a new rig on the latest platform It's giving me a headache.
  18. 7700k? My mobo will support it, but won't be able to overclock it (I'm using a b350m motherboard )
  19. Actually, that's somewhat the least of my concerns since the main focus is for vid editing, streaming, and then gaming. I didn't actually placed them in order of importance. I just dotted them down to what I'll be using the new rig for. Lol. The GPU can wait. The cpu and motherboard? Not really if I'm planning on vid recording / streaming / editing first and foremost
  20. A few months ago, I posted a thread about an upgrade path that I should pursue. Fast forward to now and I still haven't made the upgrade to Ryzen. And a good call for my part since coffee lake just got recently released. But now, I'm having more of a difficult time to decide which I should go for. I'm leaning on an i5-8600k (going to OC to atleast close to 5ghz) or a Ryzen 5 1600x (paired with X370 Taichi or a decent B350 motherboard that can reach 4ghz flat OC only if possible). I'll list all the intended use for the rig below. 1. Mainly gaming (AAA Titles and latest titles like Shadow of War, the upcoming Assassin's Creed Origins, etc.,) at 1080p @ 60hz (144hz in December hopefully). 2. Video Recording and editing (mostly recording games at 1080p 60hz and gonna edit them to upload on YT) 3. Streaming (something that won't lag for the viewers if ever. Say 1080p 60fps?). I'm planning to keep my RAM, PSU, and GPU to be used in the next build. Buying a new case for this one (Eyeing the Fractal Meshify C). Ram = 8gb 2x4gb DDR4 2400 Corsair LPX CL14 PSU = Seasonic M12II 750w evo ed GPU = XFX RX 480 GTR Black Edition Or is there something else that I should change or upgrade? Can you guys offer me some suggestions like if I were to purchase an i5 8600k, what are the things that still needs to be upgraded (other than the obvious motherboard and CPU), or if I were to purchase a Ryzen 5 1600x (ram concerns and motherboard selections)? Thanks in advance you guys.
  21. Asrock , Gigabyte, MSI. I've only ever owned these boards. Wont go ASUS.
  22. Trash? Please check again if you are referring to Ryzen. Because I find it very hard to believe that you just said ryzen is trash. *Urge to keep calm intensifies*
  23. @ThinkWithPortals, just undervolt. It wont take you an hour. Literally. Undervolted mine, together with Firestrike testing. Only took me 20 minutes. That will solve your hot and loud concerns. Or if not, then by all means, go for 1070. I personally wont though. This coming from a guy who actually owned a 1070 first then sold it for an xfx rx 480. I'm only playing at 1080p 60hz anyway
  24. Philips SHP 9500 Thank you Philips for this gem of a headphone.
