  1. Have you tried looking at it in WinDirStat? That's my go-to program for this kinda thing.
  2. maybe try these skullcandy ones https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DWHPJ94/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_qUVFBb2687C6Z
  3. yeah i would never use it for a game like csgo, but for games that don't have good positional audio built-in it can be nice
  4. i have the version of these (link below) with a mic, the cable isn't replaceable, but I've never had issues with cables on any of the akg earbuds I've owned (I've only bought replacements because I used to lose the tips on my y20s and I didn't realize I could just buy comply foam ones lol) the sound quality is great, except I have trouble identifying where sounds are coming from in games. also leakage isn't an issue. the price is kinda shockingly low but the seller has good ratings and it's fulfilled by Amazon so I wouldn't worry. also they're comfortable and the eartips are easy to get a good seal with. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011N9FWCC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glSFBb30JBKBD
  5. idk about durability, but there's a wireless version of your current workout earbuds https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0105NCAP4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_jgSFBbQEKFG59
  6. My Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee headphones are arriving today, I want to get a sound card with good virtual surround to pair with them, how does the Strix Soar compare with other options under $100?
  7. any reason in particular? EDIT: nvm after looking into it further i ordered the sennheisers
  8. this one looks good https://smile.amazon.com/Acer-XFA240-bmjdpr-Response-Technology/dp/B06ZYHZ6R6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1534567203&sr=8-2&keywords=acer+144hz
  9. I'm looking for a bright (or at least not too veiled, I don't want it to be painful) open set of headphones with good soundstage and positional audio, without having too much of a v shaped sound, I don't want the vocals to get lost. I also want good bass extension and punchy-ness but I'd rather not have it be too over-emphasized. I've kinda narrowed it down to these two but I'm open to other options around $150.
  10. that guide required i have an efi partition, and im guessing that because i had an old hard drive that already had that partition in my pc when i installed windows the installer didn't bother putting it on my ssd. here's the guides i used to get it working again: https://winaero.com/blog/shrink-partition-windows-10/ i used this guide to shrink the os partition in command prompt after booting from a windows 10 install disk (just choose repair my pc, go to troubleshooting and open command prompt) https://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/241974-system-wont-boot-after-removing-second-hard-drive-efi.html?s=22be685f3a6cb670307037a38c15ea06 then i used saltgrass's second post in this forum thread to make a new efi boot partition (the partition shrink was to make room for this) after that everything worked fine, hopefully this is helpful to anyone else in the same situation
  11. i think when i reinstalled windows a while back the boot manager got put on a different hard drive than the one i installed windows on, because when i take out my game storage drives and just have my ssd in, the computer won't boot, how do i fix this?
  12. i think this is my computer punishing me for always running it 24/7 lmao
  13. i use an ssd as my main drive, but my origin library is on it's own 1tb usb drive (which is almost full lol)
  14. yeah but getting origin to detect all the games I have downloaded takes like a whole day
  15. it's not a bluescreen, the computer is still running I just can't launch any games
  16. look it only happens when my PC's been running for a while, after restarting everything's fine, I just can't restart rn 'cuz I'm in the middle of downloading a large game, and I'd really like to not have the hassle in general
  17. I'm on windows 10 (fully up to date with the april 2018 update) with a ryzen 5 1400 and a gtx 1060 (with the latest drivers) with 16gb of ram and an msi b350 tomahawk arctic with the latest bios, and after my pc has been running for a while any game I try to start will have an api error, gta 5 says "unable to initialize directx 9 device", forza 7 says "failed to create d3d12 graphics device", and doom (2016) says "FATAL ERROR: wglChoosePixelFormatARB not available" along with a bunch of other diagnostic info. this all goes away after a restart but it always comes back eventually and it's really annoying and idk what to do, if anyone knows even just what's going on/why this is happening, please let me know, thanks
  18. I use a ryzen 5 1400 with 16gb of 2400mhz ram and it's fine', I'd say a better cpu is more important than better ram, even with ryzen.
  19. No need for a mic, but I don't want overly V-shaped sound, I did some looking around and the HD 598 CS seem like a good choice to me but I'm worried they won't be very bright because of the "sennheiser veil" people always mention, have you tried the 598s?
  20. I want to get rid of my crappy logitech g433 headphones and replace them with something better. I want over ear, closed back headphones that aren't too bulky, also I want it to sound detailed/clear, with tight punchy bass, bright highs, and mids only slightly recessed (if at all)
