  1. I'm looking at buying my Little brother an action cam for Christmas, but things like a go-pro are way out of my price range, he'll likely use it while dirtbike riding, and I have a budget of $100, but trying to wade through all the knock-off's has me nauseated
  2. I actually have another theory on things, When I did my education stuff I loved building things, solving problems ect, so I did a boilermakers apprenticeship and got some welding tickets, I worked on some pretty freaking cool projects, I helped build a Fricken 80 metre tall Ferris wheel, worked on a 60 billion dollar inland gas project ect ect, followed my passion for building things. And now I'm just Meh about it, I'd rather do something I don't hate and keep my passions as hobbies so I don't burn them out so to speak.
  3. Considering our political system allow's whatever political party that wins the election to change who our prime minister without a new election mid term, which has happened here 3 times in the last 8 year's, no I don't feel like my vote has any impact on my country, the political party can just change who's in charge of the country without consulting our voting populace at all. I vote for the Australian sex party for that reason, yes that is a legit political party here. -Edit- Not to mention that voting in both state and federal elections are mandatory here and you get fined for not voting, which just means all the derro's that couldn't give a shit and have no idea what's going on vote for whoever the hell they want, making it easy for politicians to win by tacking them self onto some highly emotive issue that dumb people care about but makes no difference to the running of the country, I feel really "meh" about voting here in general.
  4. that's what makes Australia the greatest, keep's all the pussies in Canada, we only get the Steve Irwins and Crocodile Dundee's of the world willing the brave the drop Bear's and the famous child snatching spider's.
  5. If I didn't live in the greatest former british colony on the planet (Australia) I'd vote for turnip, that seems to be the most responsible thing i could possible do
  6. I'm 24 and you can grow a more impressive beard then mine will ever be, but if i shave i look like i'm 12
  7. One of the best movies I've ever watched, I also highly recommend the green mile if you haven't seen it.
  8. My first ever pc anything I did was upgrading the GPU in my prebuilt HP pavilion desktop to a radeon HD5600, the next was building my next PC which is my current gaming PC with the following. 6700k CPU MSI Z170A gaming pro carbon MB MSI GTX-980 Ti Corsair H105 AIO cpu cooler G.Skill ripjaws V 16GB DDR4 RAM Seagate 2TB barracuda HDD samsung 850 EVO 250gb SSD Corsair RM650i PSU Fractal Design Define S mid tower case I just did a heap of research online to parts and figured for my needs (mostly gaming) these parts would work pretty well for me, so this was my first ever PC build.
  9. basically having a phone i can browse the web on (rocking an OPPO R7sf atm, good value for money phone actually) and gaming, I really want to play my games at 4k and 120 hz, so patiently waiting for a single GPU that can drive games at 4k and those refresh rates, and 4k display's with 120 hz.
  10. IMO a gaming rig is any PC you use primarily to play games you like on, there's no set definition, if your choice of game is minesweeper and you use a 20 year old box to play it, it's YOUR gaming rig, having a definition that it "has to play xxxx game at whatever FPS" or " it has to have a 980 and 6700k" or whatever other hardware just shows your an elitist that wants to feel more special because your rigs more powerful then somone else's rig.
  11. I personally find its not worth ocing a huge amount with my 6700k at this point, I'm only running at 4.4Ghz, but having that little extra in reserve at the end of my rigs life is why I went for the K, and because I like tinkering and this is my first PC build, so I'm slowly learning more about tinkering with various things.
  12. Where? Can you link a comprehensive study showing that's the case? If you look hard enough you'll always find evidence that supports your position, that doesn't make it true, a basic understanding of the science involved gives alot of understanding to this sort of stuff, and the fact of the matter is the signal strength and type of electromagnetic radiation involved simply isn't harmful. Also, correlation does not mean causation, just about everyone the develops cancer in the western world is exposed to radio signals, that doesn't mean they're causing cancer, but feel free you move to an uninhabited island to prevent WiFi induced cancer if your fear of it outweigh's your common sense.
  13. your labrats probably got cancer from being bred with almost no immune system so that they reliably get sick enough to be useful in a lab
  14. The "radiation" from wifi devices is not the same radiation that people think of for causing cancer, only ionising radiation (radiation with enough energy to strip electrons from an atom) are dangerous, this is what's caused by say nuclear fallout or smoking (interesting side note, smoking tobacco is so carcinogenic because it naturally contains polonium and lead, both of which are radioactive), cell phone signals, wifi headsets ect are all under .5 watt and emit electromagnetic radiation of which visible light is included, and yes yes high energy electromagnetic radiation can ionise atoms, but only ultraviolet and above cause damage faster then your body can repair it, as I said high energy radiation, wifi isnt dangerous at all, your exposed to more dangerous ionising radiation from the potassium in a banana or sleeping next to your partner then you'll get from having a wifi receiver next to your face for an entire 24 hour day.
  15. The blade would go nicely to replace my non existant laptop, and the 1080 in it would more then double my folding PPD which would be the best part of all!
  16. I find it depends on the games you play and the FPS your rig can handle with said games, If your getting fairly high (say 60+) FPS minimum consistently, the effect of a G-sync monitor isn't anywhere near as noticeable, however if your getting below drop's down into the 40-50 range or lower, then G-sync makes things MUCH smoother to look at, if you play FPS that needs a consistent image and quick reflexes, and your rig struggles to get over 60 frame consistently in the games you run at the settings you want to run at, then and you play CS:GO or something, then get a G-sync monitor, if your running less intensive games, are willing to lower the graphics setting's to improve FPS or dont mind not having a butter smooth experience in your games then don't bother with the extra cash. Short answer, only you can decide if you'll benefit from sync or not. For me, I ended up with an Acer XB270H with 1080P 144Hz and g-sync running off of a 980Ti because for me, I'd rather a butter smooth image, high graphics settings and high refresh rate over more pixels.
  17. Well done mate, folding is easy once you figure out you just have to leave your PC going all day and night
  18. I'd agree with that, it was around 2011 I stopped playing, the new version of the game is ridiculously complicated for no reason, it's just made it worse, i've gone back a few times over the year's, but never played for more then an hour being losing interest.
  19. Ah I don't know how I missed Runescape, i spent literally hundreds of day's playing that as a kid over 8 year's, same username as my LTT one, I havn't played it in year's though, I got bored of it I suppose, but unlike gran turismo i don't have the urge to play it anymore, just does nothing for me.
  20. ATM only once every second day or so, I've broken my ankle and torn 2 ligaments in it, so showering/bathing, drying and dressing myself can be incredibly painful, and takes me over an hour, and since i'm not working atm due to the injury i'm not to concerned, normally i shower twice a day, once in the morning, and again as soon as i get home from work, but i work a very physical job, i get alot of exercise with it.
  21. A Titan at is going to absolutely destroy frame rates at 1080p in games like CS-GO, you will easily get 144hz at 1440p with minimal reductions in graphics settings in most games I would think, I wouldn't be surprised if you could reach 120hz at 4k with two titans in SLI depending on the title with some tweaks to graphics.
  22. you may need to call or e-mail razer to try to troubleshoot the problem if calibration (you did reset your mouse calibration before redoing the calibration didnt you?) and and driver's isn't the problem, could be a defective sensor, cable, some software problem ect, so they will be able to best help you I think.
