Hello,
I am using a 16:9 1080p HDMI screen as my primary moniter and a 4:3 1024p DVI screen as a secondary moniter. The problem comes when my dad works from home and uses my HDMI screen as a second moniter for his macbook (which only has a HDMI port to swapping the screens isnt possible) leaving me with just the single DVI display. When I have my duel moniter setup I organise my files on both moniters, along the sides. But when my dad takes the other moniter Il I am left with is the second moniter with the icons jumbled up on one side which I dont like, and when I reconnect the 2nd moniter the files dont go back into place . So, is there a way to have two seperate desktop layouts depending on the ammount of moniters connected. And is there a way to automatically decide which one to use?
TL:DR: Is there a way to have two seperate desktop layouts depending on the ammount of moniters connected. Is there a way to automatically decide which one to use?
Thanks for the help.
(I put this in the Windows section of the OS becuase thats where I assume the problem is most easily fixed from.)
