Just FYI I tried to get that MiMO device and they have confirmed they no longer make it. Any other suggestions as a replacement?

    Hi there,

I went and preordered a Steam Deck quite some time ago (No E-Mail received yet).
I however have the "problem" that I do not own a lot of games on Steam.

So as of now I see myself using the Steam Deck only in the following ways:
Stream games from PC Hope for the "Windows Experiance" Hope for other Game Launcher Support be it on SteamOS or straight up Windows (Epic Games, UPlay etc.) Do you guys have any other suggetions on why a Steam Deck is a good Device to buy when you basically only own Half Life 1 & 2 and CS 1.6 & CS:Go on Steam and nothing else?
I know about the emulation aspect and that could be interesting but would not be THE factor to say "that's what I got my Deck for".

    regards

It is the case, thats true. Reason being is that those specs are what they call "futureproof", meaning that those specs are safe to run that software for at least 4 years no problem.
What you said about clockspeed sounds right and is inline whith what I thought.

I now settled on 1x Xeon Gold 6128 (essentially the 2643v4 but on the new architecture) which basicly has the same specs but a lower TDP since it wasn't much cheaper than the previous gen E5.

Thanks to you for helping me out

Nothing wrong with it, but the Sapphire and XFX cards have better cooling and aren't way more expensive.

If you're upgrading to Ryzen it's all good. But a sandy bridge is not enough to fully saturate a 580, especially in titles like Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, etc.

@Majestic I added the rest of my system specs as well as an Sapphire alternative RX 580.
