  1. I heard that too and was wondering the same thing. Honey worked quite often when it first became popular but its been over a year since its actually saved me anything.
  2. Hi All, I am having issues with my MSI RTX2080 Gaming X Trio One night I was playing games and the fans started spinning at 100% after a couple of hours of games. Ever since that moment almost as soon as I start playing a game the fans spin at max. I noticed it would happen between 68 degrees to 75 degrees ‘usually’. I ran FurMark to try and replicate the issue and I couldn’t get the fans to spin loudly despite the GPU core temp being at about 73 degrees. I found this weird. After playing around with Furmark settings, I enabled Xtreme Burn-in, Post-FX and other options to increase the workload. When I ran the burn-in test, the fans did spin to 100% again but the card was running at 72 degrees. After a bit of playing around I opened GPU-Z and realised the memory was running at 105 degrees during this test. When I switched it back to the original Furmark test the memory was only at 80 degrees. I thought this was clearly the issue, so I took my card out and taken it to the place I work (where I bought the card from) and tried my card on our test bench. I ran the exact same benchmark with the same settings in my computer on the test bench, and we couldn’t get the memory to go past 80 degrees. I am lost with what I should do because we need to replicate the fault to send the card away for repair but there is no fault on the test bench. For troubleshooting I tried; Uninstalled all software that could interfere with Overclocking, fan speeds etc. (MSI Dragon Centre, Geforce Experience, Afterburner) DDU driver uninstall and reinstall using 2 older drivers. Fresh install of windows with driver and furmark. Fresh install of windows with driver (no geforce experience or internet connection) and furmark. Airflow isn’t an issue. I have a Lian Li O11D Mini case with 11x Noctua Chromax fans. 3 Intake (bottom), 4 exhaust (top & rear), 4 exhaust (side radiator push/pull). Temps for everything else is sub 65 degrees. Since all of this i have installed MSI afterburner and limited the cards power limit to 80% which let's the GPU memory reach around 90 degrees but also has a performance hit for games. Personally, I don't think I should have to handicap my card for it to function as it should but I don't know what I should do. Does anyone have an idea or has come across this before? My other components are as below; i9-10850k 32gb G.skill ripjaws MSI MPG z490 Gaming Plus RTX2080 MSI Gaming X Trio Video Card Cheers, Jay
  3. Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone has experience using the NZXT Z63/Z73 AIO liquid coolers. I've looked into these a lot and watched a lot of reviews but nobody seems to talk about the software experience too much. I've had the CAM software in the past and I've seen the gamers nexus software review how it can actually impact performance a bit. I am looking to know if I get this cooler and want to upload a GIF, does the software need to be running? Or can I upload the GIF and when that's done, uninstall the software? Would appreciate anyones help that has used one of these or currently has one. I'm currently doing a full O11D mini build using all noctua chromax stuff! I'll post pictures in a couple of days when it's done :)
  4. I work in a retail store in Australia and we stock both of these phones. Honestly both very good well spec phones. If photos are a big thing for you, the J5 Pro camera is honestly pretty bad. Oppos camera is incredible for the price of these phones
  5. Howdy peeps. Recently I've changed from Google Play Music to Spotify. The issue I'm having is spotify isn't sending metadata (Song title, Album and artist info) to my cars stereo system. I have a Samsung GS8 and couldn't get it to work so I tried my friends Nexus 6P and my own iPad, still no luck. I tried a few apps such as Fixify and a heap of others which are made to force send metadata through Bluetooth but still had no luck. I tried contacting spotify customer support but they told me they don't support Bluetooth playback so they couldn't help me unless my car has built in Android Auto or Carplay. I've made sure software is updated on all devices including my Car but still no luck. Seems weird that Google Play Music handled this easily but spotify can't. A lot of posts and forums on spotify's community page indicate many people have this same issue. I was thinking if anyone is familiar with the app 'Tasker' and could supply a guide on how to force update metadata over Bluetooth or something that might just work.
  6. In the shop I work in we sell a lot of Moto G4 Plus phones over anything else. Never had any negative feedback on them either. The model we sell is the 2gb ram with 16gb storage. Pretty decent cameras, great display and being stock android its quick. I like stock android so I'd take this over something like an S5 any day, but that's just me.
  7. I've been following your website for years. Awesome to see you here
  8. I don't get the hate on razer. I had a blackwidow 2012 for 3 years didn't have any problems with it. Decided to upgrade to the most recent chroma tournament edition. The lighting had issues so they overnighted me a new one. Seems pretty good to me. I used a couple of razer mice over the years too. Didn't really like them so I've been using the zowie and g502 for the last year and don't regret it but razer products are by no means bad products
  9. I think the other point is DDR4 memory too. If skylake wasn't out I wouldn't be buying a 4790 knowing that my ram and CPU would outdated within a year
  10. Can't wait to see the collaboration you guys end up doing with BSMods. Gonna be awesome!
  11. I'm pretty sure with nvidia cards you can only use the primary card. I could be wrong but this was the case a few years back. Sorry I read it wrong but it is possible with and cards.
  12. Luke - The vlog you did on your channel the other day was awesome. Any plans to do any vlogs like that around the office if Linus lets you?
  13. Many people I know hire a virtual machine to make it accessible from where ever you have a computer or portable device
  14. ... Everything about this post especially this part. Are you serious dude. Nobody in their right mind would do this.
