  1. $130 isn't all that expensive for a decent board. Did I miss something?
  2. True, but for $130 dollars I dont think that there are any motherboards within the price range that does support bclk adjustments... at least not fine granular control. I picked that memory simply because I know that it is certified by both G.Skill and MSI to run at full 3200 speeds on this board.
  3. My current machine is an Intel 3570k @ 4.6GHz, 16GB of DDR3, 512GB 850 Pro SSD, and a GTX 1070. The Power Supply, Video Card, and Storage will be reused in the new machine. MSI X370 GAMING PRO CARBON AM4 AMD RYZEN 5 1600X 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM4 G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Corsair Hydro Series H110i Extreme Performance AIO This will all be dropped into a case that I won at an auction for 18 dollars. So the new home for my new PC will be a Corsair Carbide 330R Titanium Edition, although the side panel is a windowed side panel... I don't think that is original. Parts are arriving by COB on Thursday... I will have the weekend to build. In a couple of weeks the last part will be ordered, an additional ZOTAC GTX 1070 AMP! Edition.
  4. If you are going to use a car part for water cooling, the AC condensor would probably be a better choice... Something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182516620256 Notice how it uses much smaller diameter tubing, and the radiator portion is probably much better suited for water cooling from a small pump. My first water cooled system had an AC condenser from an over-the-road truck (Semi Tractor) and the overclocked 600MHz Thunderbird operating at 1.2GHz ran at ambient temperature. Another option is to use a heater core... Something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322378965343 This one is actually made of solid copper, and isnt too expensive. It is new old stock, and you will need to clean it thoroughly. However think about how hot the heater in your car gets... that is how much heat these things can actually handle! That is a lot more than your CPU would put out. Hope that this gives you some ideas, and is of some help. Good luck to you!
  5. Having more power than you need is not really a problem (to a point). Not having enough power is a much larger issue. The extra 50 watts are not going to hurt you, or your system build.
  6. Actually you can pick up a basic 1070 from newegg for a little over 300 dollars. I would recommend it.
  7. One of my Radeon R9 290x cards failed on me. A single R9 290x just isnt fast enough to push 100+ FPS @ 1440p. A good friend of mine just upgraded his GFX card to a brand new 1080 Ti, so I bought his old (not really old) Zotac GTX 1070 AMP! Extreme. So far I am impressed with the performance of the GTX 1070, overclocking over 2GHz was super easy.

    New good headset!

Computer headsets are getting better... but they are still pretty crap. I would recommend that you give the Audio Technica ATH-M50x a listen. Add something like an Antlion Mod Mic and you will have the best of both worlds... Good sound, and good microphone. Another (less expensive alternative to the ATH-M50x is the Sony MDR 7506).
  10. MX Master is a large mouse... It is a nice mouse... but large. Also have a MX Anywhere2 It is easily the best mobile mouse I have used.
  11. Mine has 132k miles on the chassis, recently we replaced the entire front suspension with MOOG parts, The B18C just had a new Exedy clutch, and a new timing belt kit (water pump, and tensioner). The little B18 has about 70k miles on it... but, I wanted to make sure that it had a good timing belt in it. From the outside, I have tried to keep the car looking fairly stock.
  12. 1999 Honda Civic Si Honda manufactured 5000 of each color, Only three colors were chosen.
  13. Those engines are known as 'radial' engines. Generally used in aircraft, although they have been found in tanks!
  14. Just finished some work on the car. Time for some sleep!

  15. You are hitting the thermal limit of the Q8300. Thermal limit of that processor is 71.4ºC. http://ark.intel.com/products/39107/Intel-Core2-Quad-Processor-Q8300-4M-Cache-2_50-GHz-1333-MHz-FSB
  16. I would be interested in giving this mouse a shot!

  18. When the Intel build I put up is built around 1080p gaming (the R9 285 is a very serious performer in the 1080p resolution, and 4GB of memory is more or less a waste) How can you NOT go intel? The build I posted is less expensive... and is just a better build in general for what you are wanting to do. A good friend of mine games, and streams on a G3258 dual core! It is overclocked to 4.2GHz on the stock cooler even. A G3258 + a 750 Ti would make a very sweet little 1080p gaming rig for around 400 dollars. Could probably squeeze a 7770, or a 7850 from last generation into a 400 dollar budget.

  21. Drop your render distance down to about 6, memory usage is actually quite good. Disable V-Sync as faissaloo mentioned. See if that makes a difference.
  22. running it just fine on 1.7.10. It has to be added via the FTB launcher.
  23. How much memory are you dedicating to MC? MC is a thirsty bitch, and will pretty much eat all the memory that you allocate. Optifine may also be a huge help to you.
