    my EVGA 980 Ti Kingpin edition died on me on Friday while sending a damn email from chrome. I have another dead one lying behind me. I ordered the Asus GTX 1070 Strix (was $15 more than the cheapest one I could find) this morning, will see how it performs once it arrives, however I already like that it does not consume as much power according to reviews. The Note that I'm leaving, people love saying that EVGA has the best support, however the reason their support is so great is because they know their cards give in after a short damn while (been a GTX 980 with Vram issues, a 980 with fan issues and now the two dead 980 Ti's) Luckily they were given to me and I didn't pay for them since their so called support is not so great in South Africa, however it really is bad advertising for them. (though I believe it could be the reason EVGA doesn't sell much in South Africa would be our climate)

    the macro keys aren't a bother as they seem separate from the rest of the keyboard, thanks for your feedback, I think I'll do just that, I'll keep the K95 at home and use the G810 at work since I can use it at work for some light gaming as well it might be to my advantage.

    I was looking for second opinions, I was just wondering if I missed something somewhere and maybe one had a feature that needed to be enabled on the driver side etc. I'm still playing around with both (mostly the k95 though) and just needed to reasure myself that I should shove the other in my closet as a spare or w/e and be done with it, however I was afraid I'd miss something.

    you can download classic start or startisback and do it the way you used to with a windows 7 like start menu

    so I'm new to mechanical keyboards and I've gotten 2 for free The Corsair K95 and the Logitech G810, which one of these are in your opinion better or more responsive for gaming? so far I'm leaning towards the K95, however would love some opinions.

    a power outage is nothing to fear, a power surge is worse, and FYI you might have reason to be afraid of power outages since you use RAID it could cause data corruption or worse... She however does not have anything in RAID

    No need to stress, I live in South Africa, (power goes out the moment a cloud hits the air) and I'm still using harddrives from 2011

    I have a xeon E5 2630 v3 and I love it, but to be honest the price premium on the mobo is crazy, why not just buy a i7 4790k or i5 for that matter?

    it looks pretty decent, you should be happy with it as is, so long as the 1060 is a 6 gb model ( checked the website looks like it is 6 gb so it should be great) if it's a 3 gb model you'd be better off with a 4gb rx 480

    what's wrong with the voltage control? also why just change 2 cores frequency??

    yes, when you set the clock speeds you are setting the turbo boost frequencies.

    you disabled turbo which is what is being used for overclocking, if you disable turbo boost you won't be able to overclock.

    How is that the same as a 970? the 8 GB surpasses my 980 at times while dragging below at others. also the 970 was a joke with only 3.5 gb memory to use no it won't the RX 480 8gb or 1060 6 gb are both on equal grounds and the one that is cheaper will be the better option, however the 1060 does take the lead by a bit in more games than not.

    6770 supports direct x 11 the 260 does not.

    people tend to throw the bottleneck theory in a lot, there's always a bottleneck, the trick is to know just how much of one there is in a certain config.

    it will not bottleneck the damned thing so bad that you get 37-40 fps in fallout 4. at 1080p something is most likely heat throttling, what temps are your GPU and CPU at during gameplay?

    there are quite a few games that do not want to run without a patch on less than 6 gb ram. it is barebone for todays titles.

    South africa does not have 128 tick competitive servers (not officially anyway) so can't test on those. I need to join a third party server to test 128 tick, but I'll check both and get back to you.

    on net_graph? I haven't set my max_fps yet since I'm usually fine with what I got. will look into it at work tomorrow if it's quiet (my own boss, I can play)

    the game caps some maps at 300 fps and others at 250, I have a 980 Ti and get the same fps as you.
