  1. I don't get hyped for Amiibo any more. I still buy them all and collect them, but there's no excitement in it.
  2. They're pretty different. Hard to compare to make a decision like that. I'd just flip a coin. (seriously)
  3. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris was fun. I played it online with two other people. If I remember right, it's up to four players. It's not a brawler, but it's still very much worth checking out.
  4. Ya I have mixed feelings I guess. I suppose pre-launch I just wish they'd focus on other games, too. This console needs it. I feel like they've been the party-game-console for long enough. They can be that *too* but if they want to push more sales they should appeal to other types of gamers as well.
  5. It's great that they're releasing content videos, but I have zero interest in party games. I wonder why they keep pushing that title. I have a couple Switches ordered, but I'm not buying that game. <shrug>
  6. Lite Switch. You know it'll happen... because it has to.
  7. 1. Which console you should keep is no one else's decision but your own. Which games you have, which games you want to play, and what hardware you can afford is all up to you. 2. Never trade in hardware to Gamestop. It's no secret that they re-sell what they buy, and it's equally no secret that they're a business and are in it for the money. You won't get street value for it. It's exactly the same as trading in a car for a new one or selling it on the street. Simplicity versus value. 3. Between eBay and PayPal double-dipping (they're the same company) you for fees, you'll loose approximately 12.9% in your TOTAL sale price. Item price plus shipping. Consider that when you're decided where to sell it. Source: I sell plenty of thing on eBay.
  8. 2009ish - 2010ish I worked for a local computer support company. It was the worst job I've ever had. (I think I worked there for about 8 months.) And that includes the first job I had at a car wash for about a month when I was 17. Do do yourself a favor -- do something else with your interest in computers. Stay away from service.
  9. Ya I get it. It's an arbitrary number that some one at Nintendo made up because of his own opinion. Game icons aren't animated, and they're not all on-screen at once. Predictable loading of icons (from storage into RAM) should have been done if there is some sort of silly reason 2GB of total RAM can't handle 300 small icons of, what, maybe 30x30 pixels.
  10. Something I'm dealing with on my Wii U right now that hopefully isn't a thing on the Switch -- the Wii U has a max app/game limit of 300 per storage device. Folders notwithstanding. The 3DS has this limit, too. It's a bizarre limit considering the Wii U can support up to 2TB of space. And so can the Switch. Again, hopefully they don't go for a hat-trick and impose the limit on the Switch.
  11. Yup. We're all different and we all want different things. Your perspective is rational, and you didn't come across as a turd-slinging hate monger wanting to trash Nintendo just for the sake of trashing Nintendo. I've had various smart phones for the last ten years, but I still like carrying a hand-held game system when I think/know I'll want to play something on it. The games on my iOS stuff just don't seem to appeal to me for whatever reason. I've taken my 3DS to work numerous times. I'm also in the midst of a GBA game, so my GBA SP has been coming with me in the 3DS's stead. I enjoy myself. Sounds like you're enjoying yourself, too. Kudos.
  12. That's a good idea. I've actually been thinking about getting a small 20-ish-inch tv for my bedroom. There's nothing in there but a bed and dresser, so I'd want a wall mount or an arm. But I'm not in a hurry. I think I might end up playing more GBA. The only 3D one I tried was Ocarina. I couldn't get into it. But to be fair, I also tried Spirit Tracks. I couldn't jive on that either. I'm not sure if it's the 2D aspect of it (it probably is) or if it's the lack of distance-traveling, but The Minish Cap is a lot of fun. It makes me want to try A Link Between Worlds. I'll probably hold off for BotW as my next 3D attempt. I'll have my son to watch play, though, before I try. He's been waiting for this game for years, so I'll be seeing it a lot after launch. Hah
  13. I feel yuh. I was gonna play Battalion Wars (bought it a couple weeks ago) on my GameCube, but I prefer the very-slightly better imagine quality on the Wii. So I left my GameCube in the closet. All I could find were $300 cables. Blah. No thanks. Funny this is, though, that I played a bit of Battalion Wars, but then I started playing The Minish Cap on my GBA. It's all I've been playing now. Haha. It's the first Zelda game I've played that I like.
  14. They stopped making them because no one was using them. Back in the day of the GameCube, Nintendo learned that less than 1% of customers were using the digital-out port. It was removed from a later revision of the console. The cable connector itself has a digital/analog converter built-in, and no other companies made any because people weren't using them. Those reasons combined is why the component cables are so expensive. So basically, GameCube owners doomed themselves because nearly all of them weren't interested in better picture quality. And now over a decade they all are because HDTVs have "upgraded" their eyes. Beat thing to do -- use a Wii ($50) and the component cables for it. ($20)
