  1. Holy crap! I can't believe I just found this build after it being out for a month. It looks absolutely beautiful! I enjoy custom-made cases, and especially of this category. Beautiful work!
  2. Okay. I'm still fairly new to computers, about 2 years into it, so I call things the wrong names all the time, but I didn't mean the heatsink. Just the cover I appreciate you giving me a heads up, though. Thanks bud! And I remember you recommending that modding page to me. Fun fact, I actually bookmarked it! I just didn't know where to get the paint or exactly what to use. But you helped me so much! Thanks a ton!
  3. HOLY CRAP you're a life saver! Thank you so much! I'm sure I need to apply some primer to it before I paint it, correct?
  4. Hey fellas (and ladies), I was thinking about making some pretty sick modifications to a case that I'm getting soon. Most of you probably know about the Corsair Carbide 400C Mid ATX Case. If not, here's the link. Anyways, I'm thinking that I can pull off a slick look if I were to paint the PSU shroud white. To accomplish this, I hope to take out the shroud and spray paint it. (Preferably Plasti Dip) Now, I'm no expert in case modifications, especially in this area, and I need help figuring out what spray paint to buy. This is where you guys come in. What spray paint would you recommend, and could you shoot me a link to the page where I can buy it? (Amazon, in high preference. I have an Amazon Prime account, so I can get free shipping with it rather than paying an arm and a leg for S/H.) I'm thinking of painting the shroud white, along with a couple of other parts. I'm going to attempt to use the same paint and apply it to my GPU heatsink, along with my RAM heatsinks. All of these will be in extremely good care, as I'm not looking to waste any money; I will be extremely delicate and very precise in how I manage this modification. Thanks, in advance, guys! I appreciate you all who take the time and help others when you could be out ignoring everyone's problems and worrying about your own lives.
  5. Wow! This makes me want to build myself a case! But it's probably best that I stay away from custom cases, because I would mess mine up completely. Anyways, great job! I'm loving the carbon vinyl! I would have just painted the wood, but you took it to a new level! Amazing job!
  6. That's about how much it dropped for me.
  7. I just replaced it and I'm already seeing some progress.
  8. I use AMD CPU and GPU and everything always seemed fine. It just matters on which manufacturer you take. Mine is a Sapphire, and not a whole lot of people fancy their manufacturing skills. I should have looked that part up before buying a Sapphire GPU. But I will take your advice and repaste the GPUs. Thanks!
  9. So this would mean that I should have my PSU facing fan side down? I never thought of that, but that makes a LOT of sense. I just recently started getting into the whole building computers thing, so I know a lot about the basic stuff, but I'm terrible at air flow and temps. I don't have carpet, but this all helps a ton. Thanks man!
  10. Hey guys! I ran into an obstacle with my GPU. I have a Sapphire R9 280 Dual-X. When I have both monitors on, my idle temp goes from 36C to 51C. I honestly don't know why. I have the average 3 fans case fan system blowing positive air. When I have one monitor, it idles at 36C. When I have both, it goes up to 51C and under load it reaches above 84C. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, but if you guys could help me out, that would be fantastic. If it helps, I'm getting a new case and some new fans pretty soon, so I will be able to actually have better cooling.
  11. Considering it's similar to my build, it would last you at least a year and a half, since that's how long mine has lasted. After that, you'll most likely be upgrading it a bit. EDIT: You also have an Intel CPU, so it will last you a lot longer than an AMD CPU. Your build isn't really similar to mine, you just used the same price range. I don't know what I was talking about, lol.
  12. Holy crap! It's beautiful! I'm really enjoying this build. Great job, man!
  13. I think it has a lot of room for future building. This one could last you about 2 years before the parts are inferior to their newer gens. You have plenty of room for overclocking with the Hyper 212 EVO if you want it to clock around 4.2GHz. I have it, and I haven't overclocked my AMD FX-6300 yet (You might wonder why. It's an AMD- I'm not going to shorten its life span even more and "risk it for the biscuit.") Anyway, I support budget builds, and this definitely looks like one to me. I scanned it for a minute or so, and I'm no professional by any means, but I think you will do just fine with this list. Getting them all from Amazon is smart. You can get free shipping on just about every one of those items if you don't want them in a hurry. That would be a cheaper option because you would be paying a little more to have every item shipped from other websites that charge shipping. Good luck, and happy tech-ing! Correction: You might only be able to OC to 4.00GHz, but you could stretch it to 4.1 if you have the courage. I realize that the 212 EVO isn't the best for overclocking, but it's beefier than people think.
  14. Lately I've been noticing a tiny (pun) trend in Mini ITX Cases involving water cooling. And, to be honest, I AM LOVING THEM. Good luck, and stay focused on schoolwork! Trust me, my Freshman year in college is going roughly because I keep getting distracted by builds! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us! Have fun
  15. I most certainly will post it! And thank you! I hope to see more from you in the future!
