  1. Well hurry up with your edit then so I can answer. Anyway, I might answer already and edit later where needed, I don't think you need a crazy expensive system to enjoy 1080p gaming. Of course this depends on what you wish to play and with how quality sacrifice you can live with. (I can't hence why my system is so overkill...) You could go with an Intel i3 6100, 4-8 GiB of RAM and something like an AMD RX460, RX480 if you got money left, this will be a very notable bump in performance. Expect to spend roughly 600-750 bucks for just the system.
  2. Oh, heh, might seem confusing but ram modules are pretty much never colour coded for any intended use, just make sure that things like memory type (DDR1/2/3/3L/4), voltage and form factor (normal or SO-DIMM for laptops) match with your motherboard. Otherwise there isn't much more to look out for. Frequency should just be your CPUs maximum supported frequency, you may be able to get higher but that's quite a bit more advanced to get that properly running.
  3. Doesn't matter, use either, just not one in a black slot and one in a red slot unless you occupy all slots, else the Dual Channel won't be utilized.
  4. Heya, hope there are more Adobe Illustrator users here, as I'm facing an issue that's not program breaking, but does just hinder the workflow. When I predefine Handles of a Path that I'm making by click-dragging and try to close the Path, the first Handle gets deleted, as seen in this *.gif. Exactly my face when I run into this issue... Been looking in the Tool's settings and in the Global Settings (Ctrl + K), but I haven't been able to find anything to change the behavior. Anyone know if it is possible to change this? Thanks in advance.
  5. Are you planning to upgrade to an unlocked CPU later? Else I'd safe a buck or more on the motherboard, won't need a Z-based chipset really, H110/170 should be enough. Edit: cdsboy2000 beat me to it. *Shakes fist.* :v
  6. I myself plan to get a Dynatron K129, which is 100 Watt TDP without fan and just airflow. I want to, just as Linus did, mount the Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM on it and hope it'll give a pretty decent amount of cooling, but yeah, requires some light DIYing and will have to get some wire clips in the right size.
  7. Good stuff, I got almost the same stuff and you did well picking a Blower style GPU cooler. I can also recommend the Corsair SF600, you could even run that system on the SF450 but the fan will kick in more often then on the PSU. The SF series are SFX sized instead of SFX-L and have a slightly smaller fan, but not 80mm, they have 92mm which is quiet enough. Also, the smaller PSU means you should be able to mount two 2.5" drives I believe. Also, which CPU cooler are you planning to use?
  8. Gimme an A4-SFX and I'll make a build log for ye! D: (They're not available for a while now I guess since the Kickstarter ended.)
  9. Might be that a lot of the stuff Linus has for this build was send to him prior to the availability of those products. The CPU also has no known prices yet in my country.
  10. I actually wonder how the Dynatron K129 with a Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM strapped to it would perform in this case, Linus also used the Dynatron T318 with the same fan for his 145 Watt TDP CPU so I guess it would work really well. Dan, planning on testing this maybe? :> *Nudge-nudge, poke-poke.*
  11. Read some of the user reviews and it looks good, it even fits in someone else's RVZ02 despite the RVZ02 only supporting up to 58mm, guess they left a little head room. (Though, the side panel can be pressed in slightly so maybe that's done to prevent pushing the side panel against the fan during transport.) The larger cooling surface plus larger fan might help a lot and may even give some head room for overclocks, something that isn't possible with what I got.
  12. The Noctua NH-L9i is rated for 65 Watt TDP, only more if there is decent airflow in the case, it's the reason why I didn't pick it for my build. The 6700K is 91 Watt TDP but reviews showed it sometimes even hitting 100. I'd go with either a Silverstone Argon AR06 or the Cryorig C7 as both are rated for an actual 100 Watt TDP. Even with these coolers, expect your system to run hot, mine idles around 40-45°C and runs at 70-85°C during games. If stressing all cores and threads it can even achieve 92°C, but that's with the dust filters attached. Welcome to the world of tiny powerhouses, by the way.
  13. I don't have it overclocked, no, and during games it runs at most at 85 or so which might still be fairly hot. My current cooler is also rated for around 100 Watt TDP. By the way, I see Dynatron also made a CPU cooling block for the 115X platform, though it is still rated for 100 Watt TDP, but that might assume case airflow. So maybe if I, like Linus did, put my Noctua NF-A9x14 on it, it might be enough to keep it cool at stock speeds.
  14. Cool topic, some people tend to have nifty little programs they use, yes, I'll share what I do and a little why as well then. Daily Phone: Samsung Note 3. (N9005) - A golden oldy by now, this phone is pretty banged up by now but the glass is still intact and scratch-free, even though there is no screen protector on it. It does have the official Flip Wallet cover which is neat as it automatically comes out/goes into standby when opening or closing it. Stock Android still, it works well and still hasn't become slow despite being around 2.5 years old. Daily Laptop: MSI GE72-2QC Apache - This is my machine for when my main rig is too much of a hassle to bring along. It's equipped with 16 GiB Corsair Vengeance memory that I installed myself. I use it for light gaming like Rocket League and Duck Game when playing with friends. I also draw on it in Photoshop and Illustrator which are both version CS6 and on the Taskbar. When drawing in my sketchbook I also use the laptop to run a cool little program named DesignDoll, which is basically a 3D mannequin that can be put in any pose and have its body parts adjusted in size, length and appearance. Main Rig: Silverstone RVZ02B - This one I'm pretty proud of as saving the parts together took some time but it's worth it, specs are in my signature. Sadly Linus put this one to shame in one of his latest videos at the time of writing this, but this thing is still a 4K/VR capable monster in a package of just 12 Liters large. This is used together with a TKL size keyboard, the CM Storm Quickfire Rapid-i and a Logitech G600 (buuuttooooons...) and can be all put into my suitcase with room for clothing or a monitor too. Desktop currently contains this, which is also what I play lately, although Darksouls, Shadow of Mordor and GTA V haven't been played a lot lately, mostly Overwatch with friends of mine. And before you ask, no, she's not a mouse, she's a Chinchilla. :v Darn Furries right? Main Accessoiry: Wacom Intuos Pen & Touch (2015) - This is what I lately use to draw with, I had a Intuos Pro L but it was too bulky for me, maybe some day I get the M or S version of it as I do miss the Pen Tilt feature. The Pen & Touch hasn't been disappointing me at all though as it is very pleasant to use but quite affordable.
  15. Oh man, I still want to get my hands on this case, right now running the parts described in my signature, but that's a 12 Liter machine, this case would make it perfect. (Assuming I can find a cooler that can still keep my CPU cool enough, it already gets up to 92°C at most, 85°C on average loads during games.)
