  1. I wasn't referring to my system just PC hardware in general. I know many people who don't have the level of hardware I do that are wondering if they will be able to run the game well.
  2. Steam and Origin display the system requirements as "coming soon" what are your hopes for the requirements and your expectations with reasoning?
  3. 1. Yes the standard edition will include all maps, even new maps added to the game later 2. The Gold and Ultimate will get you game access on October 15th instead of 22nd. They will also give you a Year 1 pass, meaning you get the first 4 battle passes (3 months each). So you can access the paid content of each battle pass. I read somewhere that the "free version" of the battlepass that comes with the Standard version will include everything related to gameplay like weapons or specalist abilities and that the paid battle pass just unlocks cosmetics. So pretty much like cod warzone, I could be wrong though.
  4. That B550 motherboard is good, the important feature to note is that it supports the full bandwidth for RTX 3000 cards as well as a PCIe4 M.2 SSD. You don't need to install the antenna but you might get a crappy connection if you don't, luckily the antenna with that motherboard has a magnetic base so you can just stick it to the a side of your case where its metal and bend the antenna 90 degrees so it can be relatively hidden. You could look for deals on used parts. The GPU market is difficult right now but since you need it for workstation reasons you can't really avoid that. Maybe look for a 3060 instead of a 3060ti, there is a relativelty cheap evga option there but watch out because one doesn't have a backplate and one does.
  5. M.2 or Sata? Maybe check the wd sn750

    GPU 99%

Turn on vsync or gsync or otherwise cap the fps. Also what monitor resolution and game render resolution are you using?
  7. I would suggest getting 2-3 options for the case then showing her pictures and letting her chose. I expect you'll find that people care more about their aesthetic opinion rather than maximium airflow and that is perfectly okay.
  8. If you go with a B450 motherboard you have the option of getting any ryzen cpu back to the ryzen 1200 4 core with upgradability up to the Ryzen 5800x. NZXT has white cases that look good for a reasonable price.
  9. Your hardware is pretty out dated and its not going to handle recording or streaming very well under any circumstances. Maybe you can look into a GPU upgrade that supports NVENC.
  10. I would recommend the Zephyrus G14, beautiful build quality, Ryzen 5000 8 core, RTX 3060. I think it would be great. And since its 14 inch its nice and portable so you could keep running it for on-the-go stuff in a few years when you build a desktop PC again for more power. I know you said you want 17 inch so it can be a desktop replacement, but if you have a spare monitor and keybaord I would go that route with the G14.
  11. any atx case, corsair 275R Airflow is good any atx 750 psu, fully modular is a plus, i like evga and corsair here any atx b550 motherbaord, i like asus and msi here a ryzen 3600 with stock cooler (or you could try to get a 5600x but good luck) for ram get 16gb (2x8gb) ddr4 3200mhz cl16 (or 3600mhz if its not too much more) for storage get an m.2 ssd, the 1tb wd black sn750 is good (you could go cheaper if you need to, most motherboards will cover the m.2 ssd with a heat spreader so you don't have to worry about the colour of the ssd) the graphics card will be tough due to shortages, try to snag an rtx3060 or check your local used market and maybe get something there and wait for the new cards to come in stock at decent prices, beware some rtx3060s dont have backplates like the evga xc black, its $60usd more for the backplate version the xc gaming which looks much better imo
  12. Wrong. Intel 11th gen desktop is still on 14nm. Some of the Intel 10th and 11th gen low power mobile chips are on 10nm. Source
  13. AM5 will be the new socket that should come out with Zen 4 at the end of the year on a new motherboard platform with DDR5 ram. Your 6700k is fine and if you were going to upgrade it would be best to wait for AM5 or if you want Intels 12th gen which should have DDR5 and be on 10nm.
  14. Disabling shouldn't change anything thermally but if you want to there should be an option in the BIOS to disbale the iGPU
