  1. Windows 10 cumulative update KB3213986 released today (January 10th 2017) may cause issues with games on multi monitor systems Link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4009938/windows-10-update-kb3213986 Symptom Users may experience delayed or clipped screens while running 3D rendering apps (such as games) on systems with more than one monitor. Workaround To work around this issue please consider the following options: Running the application in Windows mode (not full screen) Starting the application with only one monitor connected
  2. Power outtages can be hard for a psu perticulary when the grid comes back online, i've seen my share of dead components, that's why i'm using 2 ups combined with a automatic voltage regulator for my main rig and one for my NAS.
  3. Honestly check the power supply, because the red cpu light may be a power issue, i remember one day working on a sabertooth x79 and i've forgot to connect the 8 pin power connector and upon starting the cpu red led light up.
  4. Sorry my bad what is the model of your splitter
  5. It may be a poor quality video cable hdmi/dvi/dp has an error tolerance of one bit per gigabit of sent display data, so a little error may make the pixels and total screen flashing
  6. Like i said this information is not available for the public eyes however on a old document from 2010 that i found typical samsung blu-ray players supports between 7 to 16 keys so it may work, make sure your splitter supports hdcp (sould be on the specs). If we have a black screen on both monitors try disconnecting one and restart the player if it works than your player supports only 1 key. If it doesn't work on 1 screen than your splitter doesn't support hdcp, make sure the firmware for your blu-ray player is up to date... Best of luck
  7. Hdcp or high definition copy protection encrypts the video and audio streams between the source(blu-ray), repeaters (av receiver) and sink (monitors), normally a typical blu-ray player supports 1 encryption key from the sink, so for your case your blu ray player (source) checks the splitter (repeaters) what monitors (sink)are connected to it, for 2 monitors you need a source that supports 2 encryption key if your device supports only 1 key it will block the hdmi output. The number Hdcp key supported by a source is normally not documented in the specs. Just for your information a nvidia and amd videocard supports 16 keys or 16 sinks, the maximum of hdcp 1.0 is 128 keys. Hdcp 2.0 with hdmi 2.0 is another story
  8. It will probably not work because of hdcp, residential blu ray player rarely supports more than one monitor even thru a splitter or video distribution system
  9. Regedit goto hklm/software/Microsoft/windows/currentversion/windowsupdate/osupgrade create dword 32 bit called AllowOSUpgrade and add a decimal value of 1 and refresh windows update i've upgraded 4 rig this way after the hidden folder windows.bt was created
  10. If you're using cifs (smb/windows) as your primary sharing service having multiple cpus is useless because samba is single threaded i recommend using a single cpu with 4 cores but with a higher clock speed
  11. Set your power options (in control panel) to high performance, it may be intel speed step affecting your gameplay
  12. You may also look at the amd r390, jayztwocents just posted a review on youtube, it's slightly faster and has double the vram compare to a 970. It's the new "king" from a price to performance perspective
  13. 901 those where awesome speakers at the time and are probably still good if the speakers didn't dry up with time
