L0rd0din reacted to Chronified in 2080ti Founders or Strix?
Strix is very worth it. Power limits are raised from 100% to 125% (instant 25% boost in performance) plus the core/memory clocks are much higher making it anywhere between 30-40% faster than the founders when you apply a decent OC. (This goes for pretty much any high performance after market card vs the founders version)

Since you're going under water, the founders power limit will severely hold you back when it comes time to OC, unless you're planning on shunt modding that is!

Wow, just looked through this whole thread.  Amazing job!  I wish I could vote for this instead of the cases we've got here:

Just fixed it, must have been an issue with the RAM clearing itself, I unplugged my pc and held the power button which cleared it, a restart wasn't enough  thanks though

So I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I'm considering updating my monitor to an ultrawide, rather than my current mix and matched duel monitor set up.
Clear choices are the Acer Predator X34 or the Asus PG348Q. But are there other monitors in the category I should consider?
And am I right in believe the difference in these 2 monitors is just the design aesthetics?
If you're factoring price into an arguement for either one, the current prices for them where I am is $1599 for X34 and $1999 for ROG

I'd recommend an SSD. More expensive, but your laptop will be much snappier

Would definitely recommend getting a 240GB SSD, they are getting pretty cheap at this point. You will be losing size but will gain speed.

unless you need more than 6gb of vram or is going to slap an aftermarket cooler onto it

dont bother, a 980Ti with an aftermarket cooler will perform better than the titan X

edit: also, bragging will only work with people who doesnt know tech
if someone that came up to me and said "I HAVE A TITAN, LOOK AT IT" i would just smile and leave
because he's an idiot who spent extra for things he probably wont even need

honestly tho, if he got the deal for 700 he might be able to sell it on for about 800 or something, then buy a 980ti and make a tiny profit?
