  1. since you can't do anything while the package is on its way why worry? If anything is wrong you can act the moment the parts arrive.
  2. Why did you use Iphones to draw power? Why not use an adjustable meter to exactly dial in the draw from to batterys and then claculating the real mAh in each battery over an average of say 5 or 10 cycles so you could show how many of the power printed onto the label was really there? With attached iphones the variables are so huge that you can hardly call this a real test.
  3. Blocks for your Card do exist: This one was made for the 960 G1: http://www.alphacool.com/search?sSearch=11281 I got one of the same Series for my 970 G1 and they work extremely well.
  4. 380 USD is a tight fit but it is possible....not perfect but possible http://www.aquatuning.de/AtsdCartSave/load/key/9613283e1ec47f0daa07c3b9e998597c you just have to add the price for the tubing but you might get there with just under 400 USD.
  5. Afterburner will not include Boost Clock...you need to play a game or benchmark and run GPU-Z in parallel to be sure what the max clock of your card is. Did you by any chance set riducullous presets in the driver global settings? Like SSAO+, DSR and such?
  6. just remember..don't mix nickel and silver. It will lead to even worse buildup that might not inpact performance but does not look really nice.
  7. congrats...you converted you cooling loop into an internal combustion engine (at least for a very short time).
  8. maybe i am overthinking this but...you saw bubbles a few times before combined with buzzing? Hmm...12 Volt are theoretically enough to split water into hydrogen/oxygen and then well..boom. That would explain the massive blowout. I somehow really doubt that the pump is able to create this kind of preasure that would blow out the front instead of just some cracking.
  9. what the f......i can't even comprehend the kind of preasure the Pump was able to create. When i first few lines i thought your pump failed and your CPU caused the water in the loop to boil .. and then boom...but this....
  10. You might wanna look into phobja products. I am using a tube res (looks really good), a pump and a CPU cooler from them and they work really really well. Might not have the chrome high blick factor of other companies but they work really well. http://www.aquatuning.de/AtsdCartSave/load/key/f43e52d0e7c2c665767d435d98959ba0 for example. But an AIO cooler will still be cheaper (but less cool ^^)
  11. Auch that is some bad luck right there. I had a lot of Alphacool products in use and never had any problems at all. Them wanting the complete set back is normal. Since it was sold as one product it has to be returned as the complete product. If i were an evil person who would do this kind of thing i would buy the same res solo on amazon an then örm...nah..i would never do something like that! Or alternatively get yourself some acrylic repair glue and get to work.
  12. there is a driver somewhere on the Asrock website that does not include the software. You might have to google it or dig a little deeper.
  13. oh well if you have to buy the most expensive of everything you will likely end in the range of what the screenshot above will give you. But there are cheaper alternatives that contrarry to popular believe don't fall apart while looking at them. I got this combo: http://www.aquatuning.de/AtsdCartSave/load/key/c60280abcab75a7d744f11d8eb88f375 (or at least something similar i just threw this thing together) and i am very happy with it.
  14. Hmm...looking at the picture i can see a few options: - Clamp or glue them to the PCB (please be carefull, on second thought maybe not the best of ideas) - Use a smaller fan and even smaller screws and carefully thread them into end of the upper cards cooling fins (without damaging the heatpipes) - Attach the fan not to the end but the "top" op the cards and use zipties to strap it on to the heatpipes. I know talking "up" and "end" in 3d space is crap but i think you get what i am talking about. Just think about how you could force some air between the cards. I think it would help a lot.
