Hi all, I am having an issue with my pc where I can barely use it. It has seconds per frame just in windows. As in the title, wdm and csrt are maxing my gpu. If I use ddu to uninstall the drivers my pc runs fine, but with no drivers… as soon as I install new gpu drivers, I tried latest, one rev ago, game ready, studio, through GeForce experience, without GeForce experience. They all have the same issue. I have looked at what other people said online but nothing seems to fix it. Other people seem to have semi working pc’s but mine is barely usable. Hence why I am typing this post on a tablet. I feel like my only option is to refresh windows, but I would love for some other suggestions first if anyone has experienced this. i also sometimes get bsod with video_scheduler_internal_error so far I have: ddu (worked until I install new drivers) fresh gpu drivers windows updated Malwarebytes and windows defender scan disable hardware acceleration tried a different gpu nothing worked. key specs: Amd 3700x 32gb 3200mhz ram gtx 1080 (tested a 1660 ti) thanks in advance if anyone can help

Is there a difference between cheap (ish) USB 2.5gb ethernet adapters
Froger96 replied to Froger96's topic in Networking
Cool, Thank you -
Hey All, For some reason my ethernet port on my motherboard died. I don't know how and already made a separate post and did searching to fix it but nothing seems to have worked. So I am looking at getting a ethernet adapter. It has to be USB because I have no more PCI-e ports left (and I am already running out of lanes) I was just wondering if there is a real difference between the cheapish (linked below) USB 2.5gb ethernet adapters, or if I should just get the cheapest branded one. I only need want to get 2.5gb because I intend to get a NAS at some point. But the question of if there is a difference stands as I don't know as much about specifics of networking chips etc... Half of samsung television color not working properly
Froger96 replied to eman69420's topic in Troubleshooting
I understand. The backlight is what actually makes the image bright. The backlight is generally just a white LED array that is behind the LCD panel (which is what does all the colours) Over time the backlight can shift in its colour, you can search your model of tv and look up backlight replacement guides for similar tv's -

If the image you have on the screen is meant to be white, then I believe it's not the panel itself, but the backlite having died. I have the same issue on my tv, depending on the tv it can be an easy replacement if you have the time, but if you bought it off someone then that's kind of bad but a relatively cheap fix if you have the time. -
Are you only gaming? The CPU may be a bit overkill if so. Also, trying to get a newer CPU would be good

I am going to add a 10g NIC to the machine, then 2.5g switch for all of them to work through as that should be overkill for what they need right now and what they will be doing in the next few years. Sounds good thank you. I just wanted to check.

Hey all, A friend has asked me to help him set up a video editing Nas. (Mostly because I convinced him) I had a few questioned which I am not fully sure on. Firstly, could I have two Nas's on the same system. So I want to have an SSD portion to be actively edited off of. (8-12tb) then another part for archiving files long term and just as an onsite backup. (24-48tb) Would this require two separate systems to run, or could I set up two arrays that run independent of each other. The HDD array would be relatively low use and performance. Second question is if there is a calculator for CPU and memory requirements by expected usage/drives. Currently they are on lower bitrate footage so don't expect as much throughout per editor. With currently only 3-4 editor, but they will want more in the future and also be moving to higher bitrate footage. Would an older Ryzen 2600, and 64gb of ram be fine as a starting point that can be upgraded later? Sorry if these may be simple but this will be my first thing like this but i am mainly doing it because I find their current set up horrible so it's a good start to move into this direction. Thanks

I think it is there. Just says no connected. I don't have any more PCI slots I am using three already -
Hey all, I think the ethernet port just died on my pc? I launched a game, my pc froze, then just restarted itself. When it came back up. No ethernet. Wifi came up, but no ethernet. I tried a new port on the router, a new cable. But nothing, no lights on the port or detection by the pc? I tried reinstalling the drivers but that didn't do anything and restarting my pc and router. Has it just died? is there a way I can check? I know I can get a new usb one for relatively cheap. But its not ideal. Thanks

Not a full solution. But its hard to test as I don't know why it happened and have since stopped using parsec. But one thing I was told to try is re-install it system wide rather than per user as that helps stability apparently... but other than that no.
